A lot nicer than the average Kawartha snake. Congrats Pete.

It happened to me while crappie fishing out of a kayak. The musky was a little one, 24" long, so it wasn't impossible to land. It had been hooked right in the corner of the mouth with a 1/16oz jig & grub combo.

Great fish sleded. That second one is the picture of health. You should guide full-time. Always remember to keep the sun behind the photographer or use the fill-in flash for best results.

Crank up the Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water". I'm sure it will not affect the fish habitat, like skeeter99 says, it'll be back thicker than ever next year.

I like Ron McLean. Milbury was better with a shoe than he ever was with a stick and was probably the worst GM in recent hockey history. Healy was an average back-up goalie at best and Cherry is a clown. He coached the greatest team in Bruins history and couldn't win a cup. I'd like to see more of P.J. Stock and Kelly Hrudy and less of Milbury and Healy. I like the addition of Kevin Weekes on the late games but he is the only one of these guys I ever actually played hockey with, so maybe I'b biased.

Leafs - didn't I tell you they'd turn the corner...

2 wins in 14 games and on pace for a 54pt season. I'd say it's time to plan the parade route . -
I fish the Kawarthas for musky and use a Berkeley Gorilla Stick 6'6" MH with an ABU 5600C4 reel spooled with 65lb PP. I only throw bucktails, slopmaster spinnerbaits and troll smaller baits.

Leafs players got it too. It'll be in the news tomorrow.

That's a beauty GCD, good on ya for putting it back.

Hey cuzza, I'm not sure what area you're in but the conservation areas around me have kayaks for rent. Orangeville's Island lake, Guelph lake, Kelso in Milton and Valens conservation area all have rental yaks of various types for rent.
-
Great pics timmeh. I'm glad you tried out a few yaks before buying one, that is the best thing you could have done. I think many make the mistake of buying the first one they see and have to buy again later. I'm doing one more trip, down the Grand river Saturday, and then I'm putting mine away for the season as well.
-
I'll be on the Grand Saturday but upstream a little targetting smallies between Conestogo and Bridgeport in my kayak.
-
Send Fishmaster a PM, he'll have an idea of what's happening.

This is the biggest I caught this year. No PB but not bad for the Grand river. It was 19.5" and hit a jig.

Here is the last photo of ours. After setting it outside our apartment building while my daughter went trick or treating, someone decided to punch or kick it's face in. She was pretty upset after all the work she had put into it. Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween, not just the dentists.

There was a 48" caught right in the river last Monday by a guy in a kayak. It was his first musky.

You're worried about winning the cup Rickster? How about winning more than one game in ten for a start. Then try to make the play-offs. They haven't been competitive since the early 90's but they've never been this bad. Burke would build a fine team for 1975 and if Wilson wasn't Burke's coach for the U.S. Olympic team he would be fired by now. They've pinned all their hopes on an American scorer that doesn't have his Canadian set up man (Marc Savard) anymore and has bones made of peanut brittle. By the way Tuuka Rask had his second shutout for the Bruins today in 8 NHL starts. Thanks Leafs management past for him and thanks Leafs management present for the 1st overall pick next year Taylor Hall.

Here it is...

Until the Leafs come home to Canada (American GM, American Coach and best player Kessel, American) they will continue to lose. Can you imagine an NFL team or MLB or NBA team with Canadians running the show in a city like New York or L.A.? They haven't been a good team since Doug Gilmour and Felix Potvin were the stars and Pat Burns was the coach. Just coincidence? I think not.
-
I hear the Bills may be going to L.A. to play in that brand new stadium .
-
I would bet the farm it's the first Saturday in June for Musky. I don't own on a farm, I rent an apartment, so I feel safe with this bet .
-
They definately deserved the single point tonight. I can't believe they are rushing Kessel back into the line-up. They are talking about him playing as early as Tuesday. He was supposed to be out until the end of November. Not likely he'll play long before getting hurt again anyway. If he gets hurt again he can say goodbye to his Olympic chances. That's why he came to Toronto after all. That and $5 million per.

Had a deer cross in front of me in Cape Breton while on my motorcycle. It was a single lane gravel road and the deer never touched the ground. It came out of the bush in the air and went into the trees on the other side still airbourne. Probably would have taken the hooves in the helmet if I'd been driving any faster. That's as close as I've come and that was too close.

My 9yr old daughter picked out and designed this jack-o-lantern. Blew all my disposable income for the week ($3) on this one .

Must be nice to have a "disposable income" to worry about.
