poaching pre season walleye in sanctuary areas is a big problem where i live... and ive been told its $1000 bucks per fish... on top of losing anything you have with you...truck...boat...gear...ect... but in my situation... it is more netting/trapping spawning walleye up the tributaries... cant really play stupid with an illigal trap...

Another thing to think about is fish populations on the lake... If there is a tonne of musky where your fishing... And you keep trying the same spots without success... You should eliminate that water... Keep eliminating water by fishing it multiple times and you will eventually find tge fish

That is cheap... Think of it this way... 300 bucks for 10 hours... Minus expenses... Say 50-100 bucks... He's only walking away with 20-25 an hour for a special skill... That is cheap... Think of it as a skilled trade... How much do you think it costs for a plumber or electrician to come to your house for 10 hours...?

Patience and Perserverance... i guess so... 5 years without a fish and still high spirits... good for you... 47 1/2 inch rewadard for your time...

why dont you try the st.lawrence river? bellville isnt very far from the larry and there are musky everywhere in the larry... and if you pick a sectoin with a lot of islands... your protected from big waves and will have an abundance of spots to fish... even a smaller boat like yours can fish the larry... i did it with my old 14 foot tinner and 9.9 combo... you just have to find a boat launch that is located near prime locations... so if weather gets nasty... your not that far from the launch...

get sonar... and troll...troll...troll... trolling is one of the best ways to locate fish as well as spots to cast... your boat should be able to troll all day for 10-20 bucks in gas... and youll cover loads of water... think about it... trolling 5mph for 10 yours means your lures covered 50 miles of weedlines... rockpiles...wood... flats... deep basins...etc... it would take you a week to cast this much of an area... you dont need expensive sonar... crappy tire 100 dollar units will do... and it would be way more valuable than most of the lures you have spent money on...

just toss up a post if your looking for someone to fish with and see what happens.... eventually you will end up with a couple more regular fishing partners... i wouls think

dads old boat went boom one time... his boat had a bench seat going across the boat... red gas tank in one side and starter battery in the other side... filled up the boat with gas to go perch fishing... went to start the motor and BOOM!!! blew the seat off the boat... luckily his partner that day was grabbing the water bottles when it happened... then after checking out what happened... one of the wing nuts had loosened and he figures that caused a spark... check your gear on a regular basis...

wow... looks like a good time... to bad i didnt know about it... and i live 10 minutes away ... i would have really enjoyed fishing that tournament... anyways congradulations on a good session

im wondering if down imaging is an important option to get on my new humminbird combo... im assuming it doesnt look exactly like on tv but i wanna know if you guys think its worth an extra $100-$130 dollars more... thnx

and those add 15 dollars per board... if they came standard then offshore would be better... or they could include them with tapple flags or something... so to make that upgrade you suggest... $105 for pro pack + 30 for extra clips to make em comparable to church... 135 dollars... or church board pro pack for 99 and they have an adjustable balist and a system to hold the board on your line if the clips release

picked up my church tackle planer board pro pack with flag upgrades today... very very impressed with these boards... they make the offshore one look like i havent put em in the water yet... but the line clips and flag system is far better than offshore... and the church tackle boards are cheeper by 5 bucks per pro pack... and mine were on sale for $75... offshore boards pro pack is $105...(cabelas) and the church tackle line clips can hold light braid... and have a system that locks your line in the board... offshore line clips cant hold light braid... and if the board pops off... there is nothing holding it on the line... wich means you have to clear your lines and drive back and get them...

really?? ive caught thousands of walleye on the larry... never seen a sauger... you learn something new every day i guess...

hey looking at a new color combo unit to replace my old black and white units... i have gps and fishfinder seperate right now... anyways... looking for opinions on this unit or a comparable one... these are selling for about 600 buck... wich i dont think is very expensive for a color sonar/gps unit... especially with the down imaging... thnx

Both sides... Big pike above the dam... And this spring I tried pike fishing... Got 16 in the Cornwall area with a couple 7-9 lb fish... And Sunday was better for me as well... 11 walleye in 3-4 hours and lost a biggun

wow... antique unit you got there... it will still be able to help you catch more fish tho
