  5. Well the other day the sister in law was talking about getting her licence and going fishing with me and wifey some time... So last night I made arrangements for some quality time between my son and his grandma and off we went... Left the house and the weather was beautiful... Partly cloudy and basically no wind... 10 minute drive later... Blowing 30+ km/h and a storm cloud moving in... But surprisingly... The girls said "let's give it a try... We are already here..." no problem I says... Put the boat in the water... 5 minutes we got our first walleye... Now I'm starting to think it'll be a good night... So we hit a couple spots close by to be safe... Get a couple more walleye... Then the bad weather disappeared... Time to run the river... We finished the night at 11 walleye in 3 hours and I lost a big fish... If it was a walleye... And it felt like it was... It would have been my biggest... And the sister in law got her first walleye and even held it for a pic... 25"
  6. Looks like a great day Paul... Glad to see you had her into a nice pike...
  7. I got a 16 foot Lund tiller 1997 with a 40 Honda 4 stroke 2000 For $7000 in new jersey Dad got a 21 foot ranger tiller with a 115 Johnson 4 stroke 2004 for $21,000 in Cleveland... And loads of boats in MN And most boats from the states are not docked... They are kept on a trailer in a garage with a boat cover... Most of tge boats are MINT
  8. USA. !!!!!!! www.walleyecentral.com
  9. My biggest reason for gulp over worms... GOBIES!!!!!!! You can't fish worms on the st.Lawrence river any more... You can't keep bait on the hook with all the gobies... And the gobies have a hard time ripping off the gulp
  10. I mean why give the police a reason to come hassle you...
  11. I'm not really a drinker... But I do enjoy a couple beers with BBQ food... It just seems to go well together... As for drinking in the boat... Really... not necessary... Alcohol or near beer... Why push it?
  12. Loverboy That way when the old lady is calling the dog she has to yell... " COME HERE LOVERBOY"
  13. probably because you tried it on a slow day... you have to try new tactics and locations when they are biting
  14. Well today is your b-day Hope it's full of friends family and joy.... And new tackle... Lol
  15. Actually... My best walleye fishing is high noon... I don't catch anything before 10am... Usually things get going around 11am...
  16. I've seen Darel Cronzy doing "Up North" tv shows with gulp and doing pretty damn good... And if you dont catch on plastics... Then pay for their bait
  17. Rapala...xraps Spinnerbaits Buzz-baits berkley 10 inch power worm 4 inch tubes 3o... 4o... 5o.... Texas rig hooks Red and gold "little Cleo" Big - O I like whites... Chartruse... And browns... These baits are all great and readily available... And catch multispecies
  18. very true... and im also on a big river where there is always current... i cant fish a 1/8 ounce jig and minnow for walleye like in the north lakes... i can drift or troll a lindy rig but that style of fishing is a bit slow for me... and in the fall... i switch to big live suckers for musky... cause they arent willing to chase down artificials...
  19. Live bait is the easy way to fish... But I find in most cases... Once you have mastered certain artificial baits... You will outfish live bait guys every time... P.S. Gulp... Gulp... Gulp Berkly gulp and gulp alive have pretty much eliminated the need for live bait in my boat...
  20. not on the "Larry" there are a fair bit of walleye that size... my brother got one an inch smaller a couple miles downriver at the same time wait till you see my posts in october and november... you'll think im in the BOQ...
  21. Just talked to my brother and he did well last night with a 27.5 incher being the biggest of the evening...
  22. It's been like this the past 5 times out.... 5 part days on the water...50 walleye
