I decided it was time to try something different for cooking some walleye... I had heard about bacon wrapped walleye... And if you haven't tried it... TRY IT!!!!!! It's really easy to make... Just cut your walleye into bite size chunks... Wrap the chunks with a 1/3-1/2 peice of bacon... Put the wrapped chunks on toothpicks or scewers (sp)... And I put some of Mercmans BBQ sauce on em... Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes.... Very tasty treat...

I stopped using mono when my grandfather (a lifelong guide) showed me he can break 20 lb test mono with 1 Kleenex tissue... In a couple seconds... I run 10lb power pro for trolling... I didn't break off all year... And I'm making contact with rocks...weeds...zebra mussles... Wood.... And landed some big musky by accident also... You just have to check your line on a regular basis...

So that puts you at -4 then Paul...? Lol

Ha... Your gunna be on way worse ice then that...lol... There are only a few people willing to walk on the ice you'll be on Saturday... Lol Cracks arent a bad thing...

i normally use the heaviest line i can get away with... without effecting lure action of course... or dive depth... im assuming your talking about bass set ups... wich is something i know little about... so thats all i can say about that... ...

I take naps carp fishing all the time... We use loud alarms/bite indicators... People even do multiple day fishing sessions... Like 24+ hours of fishing... Never had an issue with the Mnr... And they have woken me up more then once

i twisted the handle right off my fin bore 8" last year i was working through the last inch... i gave it that extra hard little twist you normally do to finish a hole... i was left holding the handle with my auger in the hole... ended up there was a stick at the bottom of the ice... so i was hitting that and not busting through the last inch...

Carp fishing is probably my biggest get away... Not far from civilization... But I have a few spots where nobody would find me... Nice ... Quiet... Only noise I hear is carp splashing and the wind blowing... Lots of afternoons in April and may spent napping in my luxury carp chair with the sounds of birds chirping and fish splashing... Can't wait for April...

thats what i was thinking... but after i caught him... i did some research... sauger are more light sensitive then walleye... so they prefer deeper and or darker water... if im not mistaken roy... your area of the larry has some dirty water due to the ottawa river dumping in... our tribs to the larry are more like creeks... very small and not enough volume of water to color the surrounding gin clear waters... unless we get crazy amounts of rain for extended periods of time...

i phoned the MNR last week to report a sauger that i had caught in an area where they were thought to be extinct since 1968... i wasnt sure if this was information that was important or not... i guess it was i just got off the phone with the MNR and the woman i talked to has never had a report of a sauger in this area... and she used to actually do the netting surveys herself... she kinda didnt believe me that it was a sauger... so i emailed her a picture along with any information i had about the catch... hopefully the information provided will help someone and their research... either way it was nice to hear back from them... heres the pick again if you missed it in the report... 19 inches

Wow... Awesome guys... That's why I have lots and lots of different cranks... Almost never use most of them... But on the day you need em... It's nice to have em...

In the end the restaurant would have broke about even as far as dollars go... The profit from your wife's plate would cover the cost of yours to the restaurant... Not many managers/supervisors understand this... He did a great thing for the chain of Montana's and it didn't cost a thing... Glad you had a nice date Lew

3 receipts... If the boat motor trailer is $3000 lets say.... Make a receipt for $200 for the boat...$200 for the trailer... And 2600 for the motor... You don't pay tax on the motor..... It'll save you a couple hundred bucks
