Port Hope still in danger.
From the low wall almost to the old Bi way is huge broken pack ice. One chunk is hitting the road bridge under tracks the rest about 3 feet away. The trench is solid. They have a Hi Hoe across from the boat launch breaking ice. Seems stupid to start there should be down at guard rail.
A big loader is moving the ice away from creek edge to the far side of the parking lot.
I have 5-6 gravity molds I made. And with the help of a tooling buddy 15 injection molds. Most are 3 cavity all made of plaster Paris.
You can re melt old plastic. Stay away from smelly ones like power bait. Get a micro wave from yards but buy good micro wave measuring cups. The cheapys explode. A good pair of welders gloves. No water near plastic and no water base scents. Only oil.
You might save a few pennys on your baits but hardly worth it.
I make my own designs so it's fun.
Stagger your planting of beans. Say 3 meals meal in 1 week. So maybe 8-10 plants and then plant the next time about 10 days later. Same with carrots do 2nd planting about 2 weeks after first.
Then when your beans are done plant carrots. You can cover with 2 feet of straw before frost and go out all winter for fresh carrots. And they are the best tasting carrots. In the spring you just till the straw into soil.
Leaf lettuce same thing plant small amounts ounce a week.
I'm sure Yellow has been shown the proper tension on arm bans.
To tight is just as bad as not wearing them. At the thickest point of your forearm just needs to be compressed a little bit. Get your therapist or pharmacist to show how to wear them.
Do all the things above but mostly rest.
Spent the day with the big race on the TV and Bassmaster on the Ipad.
"If they made it the green" I think Lagonno and Harvick would have wrecked and Jr wins on the high side. O well lunch bag let down.
The live feed was cool spent the time critiquing the anglers with couple buddy's. We are diffidently better anglers.
The fun in tournaments for me is taking the bruises then taking my skills apart and getting better. I never dwelled on the negative's of tournament fishing if I weight 8 lbs it's my fault.
Never became work for me. Never was a slave to sponsors but did much appreciate what I had.
Best thing about tournaments you can post pic, rule face book, promote your brand, but at 3 O'clock you put the fish on the scales.
My Union CAW 222 put the seed money up for the cancer wing at Oshawa. Think GM put a car up. It was like $15-20/week for 3 years. I remember being pissed that it was taking so long.
Spent most of last year taking my dad to Oshawa Cancer wing. Behind the main lobby kiosk is the plaque thanking CAW members.
When you spend your time there talking to people coming from all over the place makes me happy I donated.
I've fished Fairy and Lake Joseph for pike,Lake Trout and bass both ice fishing and boat.
On a quick trip I would fish Lake Joseph. For Lake Trout. White 3" Berkley power tube 3/8 jig. Minnows if you want. Tie a piece of 50lb braid to jig eye and small treble stinger. Now wrap the braid around hook bend to adjust length of stinger.
I always try to support the local guy. But if they don't have what I'm looking for Sail, BPS,CT and mail order no problem.
The CT in Kingston,Bellville,Coburg and Lindsay are all a cut above And the Wal Mart in North Bay.
Hopefully the adjuster screw works.
I had 4 of these power poles in my scrap pile from 30 years of bass boats. I bought the manual lock one that's in the current Bass Pro shop flyer on sale for $35. Problem solved. Easily adjust never breaks and half the cost.
I know the guy that does 90% of the new roof installation around the GTA. The builders just won't pay for quality roofing. He told me losing contracts over $20 is common.
