Hey Clampet, I have no idea as to how big the Herring are, but I am told they are plentiful here. As for being warm, I have a floater suit and it seems to do the job very well....my biggest thing is I'm nervous on the ice, my first time on it was the year I held the first Fishing for Tyler...Lew and Raf might remember that, they found it pretty funny Maureen

I tried it...sort of, being on dial up I finally had to give up as it was taking too long for the page to load. Maureen

I haven't no, I just moved here last year, and I'm still trying to decide if I like ice fishing or not . Also I don't like to fish alone and with working all weekends it's hard to find someone t available to go on a weekday, who is also willing to put up with a newbie . I did fish Midland bay with Photoz last year but had no luck catching anything. I have heard from a couple of the locals that the Herring is good during the first couple of weeks of ice, other than that I don't know anything about the area. Maureen

On my way through town this morning I noticed there were a few huts out on the bay. I don't know how thick the ice is, but I figure it must be fairly safe if they got their huts out there. Maureen

I went through something similar with my first house, huge pain in the butt....in the end I got the house though. The house I'm in now was actually my second choice, the first one I wanted fell through when the seller changed his mind right after I finally agreed to his price , personally I think in the end it worked out better for me. I hope it works out for you, nothing worse than really wanting a place and having it fall through for something like that. Who knows, maybe you'll find a better place if this one falls through. Hey Cliff, no problems at all...I have been in touch with the organizer for Winterfest and he is fully supportive of us, and hopes that having Winterfest on the same weekend will help us raise more money. As for the washrooms being open, I still need to confirm that. Maureen

Just so you all know, Innisfil will be holding their Winterfest at the same time, so we should have lots more people, and some fun stuff for the kids as well. Maureen

My Nephew took his two year old son on Sunday...I imagine they had a blast as the little guy loves all trucks....i just hope his hearing was damaged Maureen

Just watched Aaron and Barry on OLN. I've never caught a lake trout before, boy are they scrappy fish!, squirmy too . Another good show guys, for those that might have missed it, it's on OLN again at 10:30 this morning....worth a watch. Maureen
