  1. I've never had a bad experiance yet. Sold tools, woodstove, cars, truck, And various junk. If they are coming to the house big ticket items I make sure they see they knock on the door so the dog will go nuts. ( 120 lb bulldog). I also have cameras on the property they are hard to miss. My place is on lockdown you can't get into either outbuilding without alarms going off and if I don't answer my cell phone the cops get dispatched.
  2. Wining salmon in the gosd. And a marlin. Any marlin, I've been out for them 7 times, no marlin yet.
  3. You guys should bring some of these vintage sleds to sled fest in wasaga and run them down the track.
  4. Get a twin liquid. They are bulletproof. If the 600 and 700 versions. My coolant hose let go off Jackson's point on simcoe it was cold ,getting late and I was by my self.I held it to the bar and I made it to innisfil before I blew er up . 2 new pistons and a 12 pack of Canadianand a few hours in the garage and I was good to go. Look 98-2001. I prefer the non ves . Should be arround 2 k for a good one. Avoid triples at all cost unless you like to go really fast and enjoy wrenching. On that note any one got a xlt they want to get rid of ?....... After looking around on the web I'm not sure there are many twin liquid touring ( 2up ) sleds out there.
  5. Cool vid. I wish I had the patience for edititing, Sweet fish! Ive never fished quinte but once the boat upgrade in the spring happens I will be all over it next fall.
  6. Good stuff Just curious how do we know it's a 300 not a 340 ? I always like to learn.
  7. Did he just look at the carbs, or did he disassemble them and look at them on the inside? #1 way to burn down a 2 stroke is a lean condition. Like I said I do mine every November it takes me an hour or so but mine is jetted on the ragged edge. Not trying to harp. Just trying to save your motor. Honestly it he difficulty level of cleaning and tuning carbs is not much more than chasing the oil in your car.
  8. How do you post the vid where the picture of it shows up not just the blue link.
  9. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sfsobGemno0 Too good.
  10. I usually fished simcoe every weekend. Now that I bought a house in kitchener I plan on focusing my ice fishing efforts to 2-3 trips this winter. We're going to make weekends out of them and find some new places to explore. I really would like to ice a spake.
  11. Whirlpool in the AM. We will see......

  12. Check your inbox.
  13. Woah there ......I thought I had logged into the hcs forums for a moment.... Most speedos are off by 8-12 mph. Mine with stock gears will Burry the needle on 120 mph in 2000 ft. Had it in radar a few times. Was always 112 mph. Now it's set up for shorter pulls but it sure gets to 90mph a hell of allot quicker. Sure surprises the hell out of allot of newer sleds.
  14. Tons of them around smiths falls. Cool creatures. I like the minks too, except when they make off with your dinner when it's tied on a stringer at the end of the dock.
  15. Dammit. You guys made me hungry....lim throwing a pork shoulder in the electric smoker to eat tomorrow.
  16. I love all middle eastern foods. The lamb is always so good. I think it has something to do with the fact that the restaurants usually have the owner in the back cooking and each one in different. You get to try their family's secret recipes.
  17. Got this email from natural sports some good deals Pretty good deals on the cold waters and the Fenwick rods.
  18. No disrespect to Bernie, but I'd pull the carbs before touching anything else. Won't cost you anything to pull the carbs clean them and at least rule out a plugged pilot jet. I clean mine every season. Takes 1 hour.
  19. Nickasyl cylinders are awesome. Melt a piston and you just wipe em down with muriatic acid put a quick hone on me and your good to go. On the hard starting yammie I would recommend a good carb cleaning.
  20. I know what your saying. Id love a switchback assault....a man can dream.
  21. My oldie but goodie It's a 700 despite what the hood says , it's a pig on fuel and oil but will put a smile on your face when you crack the throttle.... The power band is like a lightswitch. On or off... Clutched and tuned for 660 ft pulls
  22. I'd bonk any record and it be on the wall in my man cave. Wouldn't feel the least bit guilty.
  23. So is eating them..... I usually only fish one rod on simcoe but with this contraption I might bring home dinner more often. Whitefish is one of the few fish I keep.
  24. I'm gonna buy one .. Might work good for soft biting whities
  25. I have no sump pump. But I do have a water leak sensor that will call my cellphone . It's part of my home security system. Gives me peace of mind I can call the neibour to shut the water off if I'm out of town. Check with your insurance company mine gave me a steep discount for having it.
