  1. dry weight mine is around 650 same as Roy's yours must be quite a bit more? the yammy tiller handle looks to be awesome with rpm control on there. do you find the motor quiet?
  2. didn't know merc had a pwr steer option. actually the 50 has great hole shot coild only imagine what to 60 would do. Roy if you see this do I recall you can get 42mph with your 60 on the 167?
  3. Likely in the spring I'm looking to upgrade from a late 90s 50hp fs tiller to a 60hp fs tiller. I have my eye on the yamaha or merc. wondering what everyone thinks of those options and hoping a few folks on here have one that could share their opinion. am I correct to assume I'll only get a 2-3mph increase in speed jumping up 10hp? 60hp is Max hp for the boat and I currently get 32mph with the 50. Thanks
  4. can you order nba tv canada as a separate channel?. tons of raptors shows and games on there.
  5. Good morning. I'm looking for some marine carpet in the gta or swo area. Anyone know of some dealers? Looking for a navy to medium blue similar to the late 90's princecraft boat carpet. thanks
  6. I stayed up there recently and it was terrible. around big island you could actually see a big plume of algae as you drobe through it reminded me of wildwood and other southwestern ontario reservoirs or lake of the woods. the bald narrows I saw a bunch of blue green algae too. occasionally I would see soap suds I wonder if there is some cottages and or houseboats dumping soaps into the lake as well?
  7. leaf4 are you referring to the revo Toro winch or revo winch for 229? I prefer the low profile bait caster over a round reel. I just got a Toro nacl and really like it. The toro winch is also great but depends what you are using it for. pro tackle in Belleville should have both and has free shipping! Sorry just noticed your budget what about a curado 300?
  8. there is a few rocks in the north end that aren't marked by the charts. some good underwater structure but scary when you watch the graph shoot up several ft below the boat
  9. st croix eyecon series 6'3 ml or m xfast action. for higher end st croix legend tournament in 6'3 ml or m xfast.
  10. if I had to take mine in I'd go to bay city marine in Hamilton. Worth a call to verify the mercury licensed tech part. Clarence is very good to deal with.
  11. I have had great success with the lg front loaders. the wm3470 is the model I would look for in the washer if I was buying today. dryer anything 7.3 cubic ft and higher. not sure steam is necessary on either but having a sanitize (built in heater) on washer is good for dish towels etc. oh and if you can get the pedestals it makes things much easier
  12. I'm looking for a private cottage or resort to stay at for a few days in the kawarthas area this fall and am looking for suggestions. looking to fish mostly muskie and walleye and maybe some bass. prefer a private quiet spot instead of large resort etc. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks
  13. angling outfitters have 1 stowmaster muskie net left last time I was in. believe jb also carries stowmaster.
  14. for smaller boats 14-16ft would the regular down easter rod clamp to most gunwales or would the salty be a better choice?
  15. thats a big motor for 2 cylinders wouldn't it have potential to be lumpy at low speeds? I would also compare weight difference between that size of motor not sure if it's a big advantage with etec
  16. Just gathering some quotes nowon a snap cover... for a 15ft tiller would cover posts or wood cross braces make the most sense?
  17. thanks guys I'll slap a transom saver on there just in case.
  18. I currently don't use a transom saver on my small outboard and the skeg sits 7 inches above the road when in transit. am I cutting it close? Will likely raise the motor and or get a transom saver in the near future but wondering if I should be ok in the meantime? Thanks
  19. have they came out with a decent left hand trolling reel yet? If only they would make a lefty tekota...
  20. get an open or round wrench and flathead screwdriver. (tm bolt should have a slot to insert screwdriver) flathead will hold bolt in place while you back off nut.
  21. try Cerka industries in milton they may have or can get what you need and good pricing. http://www.cerka.ca/
  22. thats some nice numbers with the 25 congrats. what kind of rig is it pushing?
  23. can you still get new yamaha 2 strokes?
  24. thanks for all the suggestions. after trying concentrated vinegar with no luck, tracked down some lysol toilet bowl cleaner with lime and rust remover from home hardware. It worked amazing. I just let it sit for a couple minutes and with gentle scrubbing and a rinse and the stains are all gone!
  25. clr doesn't look to work with painted surfaces. will try a few basic suggestions and if that doesn't will try a low acid one thanks
