  1. Hey Burt is there a chart somewhere on what amount of salt affects the freeze point? Is the ideal goal to still freeze the containers but freeze at -15 instead of 0 for example?. Thanks!
  2. Stowmaster TS84 http://stowmaster.norsemenoutdoors.com/shop/tournament-bass-walleye-net-84-ts84s And it folds up nicely. Can also get a case for it that sticks it upright along the panel of the boat.
  3. Great tip on adding salt to the water thank you! For the guys that bleed out fish and leave in the cooler, do you add a bit of water to the cooler as well or just let the fish sit between the blocks to keep cold?
  4. Hence my initiative. It makes a big difference in the taste of the fish and much easier to clean.
  5. Sorry about that - Looking to freeze containers and throw in cooler to keep the fish cold
  6. I'm going to start making my own ice blocks and refreezing them during outings. I was wondering what you guys like to use. Currently using frozen water bottles, but thinking using something bigger will last longer. Anyone have any suggestions for a container that will hold up over multiple freezes? Like milk jugs etc? Thanks!
  7. Thanks Raf - If coming from Kitchener side of 401 is there an easy way to catch 124 rather than going through Guelph? Maybe #6 North to #34 (right) to #29 left to #124 (right)? Or is it just quicker to take #124 through Guelph and up?
  8. I would like to find a quick way to highway 9 from guelph area instead of going through the town. most of the roads go north west around there instead of east.
  9. Yup...might try the 407 from milton across and swallow the $40 round trip....at least once
  10. From SWO I usually take the milk run through Guelph up to #9 and across through Newmarket etc unless I'm going through Toronto very early on a weekend. Adds another hour to the trip and more gas but its a nice predictable drive.
  11. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Shimano_Calcutta_D_Series_Casting_Reels/descpage-SCD.html not sure if this replaces the te but price point looks similar great to see there is a 301 model now
  12. I see where you're coming from Lew - especially if it means a better ramp and less traffic.
  13. Ouch...was thinking it would be around the $10-12 range for in/out included. Thanks guys.
  14. Hi all - does anyone know what boat launches there are at Lighthouse cove on lake st clair? Just wondering about quality and prices of the launch. I'm also aware of jeanette's creek launch up the river but was curious what else there is in the area to get out into the lake. Thanks.
  15. Caught this guy over the weekend on a double blade crawler harness in the kawarthas.
  16. One so far fished all day with muskie gear notta...not even 30 seconds in the water after i switch to crawler harness for walleye and I get one
  17. Generic 83/200 I think is what you want.
  18. Nice rig and selection of add-ons!
  19. I've seen both in store and I think that the TE would be the better option. Tranx is too big IMO. 12.8oz vs 20oz
  20. I saw a post on muskie first talking about an announcement at icast in july.
  21. I'm interested to try gulp worms especially when you roll though a school of pannies when targeting walleye should save re baiting quite a bit
  22. 55lb could do it but you would want a 31 series battery. Do you have plans of going bigger in the future? Might be worth getting the 80 now if you have room and can handle the weight of 2 batteries.
  23. I don't find it easy to deploy and the motor can be turned on when its stowed which could be a potential safety issue. If you get the Ipilot you cannot use the foot pedal as it is disconnected inside the unit when you install the Ipilot. Terrova you can. Pedal isn't as nice as the Terrova either. Get the Terrova well worth the extra $
  24. If its similar to the yellow one above I would be concerned that you are using too small of a wire gauge drawing 50+ amps on your terrova.... Check the manual and once you have that sorted out, Napa usually has the 12v auto or manual reset breakers in different amp ratings. They have two posts on them and around $12.
  25. Wow nice haul there Mike!
