Rice Lake Tourist Ass. seems to have a change of heart
Twocoda replied to Ron's topic in General Discussion
i would support going back to Rice if Suzie Sunshine was no longetr a member of RLTA and her super loud boat was not anywhere near the derby for its duration... Ron your a better man then me to forgive so easily and even promote for these cowboys (no offense to any real cowboys) ...its STILL going to be many years before a single dollar of mine gets spent in that area... -
what a waste of money ....that big boat didnt have one downrigger on it that i could see...

bricknblock..good on ya ...and to take the issue of the landing at the bottom of the stairs a bit further ...if you install a 30 inch door at the bottom of the stairs to enter the house your landing will have to be double the width of the door...in this case 60 inches...now that you know this you might want to reconsider the direction of the stairs....running along the wall will mean your treads are going to be 60 inches wide as well....now if you run from the yard to the opening ...you can still get away with 48 inch stairs and acheive a long landing to accomadate the size of the door 30 inch ( 60inch landing) then start your calculation for the treads as Bricknblock stated...i used a 30 inch door in this case ...but i reccomend minimum a 34 door 68 in Landing if you run the treads along the foundation (think of someone trying to manouver a couch etc through the opening ) ...keep in mind ...you will have to have a handrail going down the opening If you run your descent from the yard straight down to the door you will have to put up Ballasters and a rail to accomadate code (42 inches) on both sides to keep the wee ones from falling in and getting hurt and a hand rail going down Cheers

Ive done a few of them ....back in the day you could get away with alot ...but nowadays ...youll need to get an engineered print before they will issue a permit...you used to be able to draw it out on paper yourself ...but since you are structurally changing the foundation ...youll need a BIN stamp and signature..

Keep up the good work ! Although i dont comment on all of your shots i never hesitate to click on any post you submit to OFC Thanks again particularly fond of the third one ....
