  1. Got all the way (40 hrs of driving) to Alaska last fall only to realize I forgot the charger for my good camera. Good thing I take more than one.
  2. Make sure you fill it up with barrels of toxic waste before you scuttle 'er cap'n. :tease:
  3. I'm a big sports guy and because of that own a Panasonic Plasma. When purchasing my set a couple of years ago I found that even the most expensive LCD units suffered from motion blur when watching fast moving sports like hockey and racing. If you're not a sports guy go for an LCD as they use less power and are lighter in weight. Also go big!!!! My living room is 15'X15' and I have a 50". It's a good size for the room, but the first day I had it I thought that I went too big. It only took a day for me to realize that I didn't. Although I now think a 60" would be nice.
  4. Or you could use a product specially designed to fix this problem you are experiencing. http://u-40.com/ferrulelube.html
  5. My Honda Pilot pulls my 18 footer fine. Pulls my camper fine too. And has plenty of room with 3 rows of seating. Plus....................................IT'S A HONDA!!!!
  6. Don't listen to Spiel!!! Go chartreuse with lavender trim!!!!
  7. Did ya lick it to see if you could catch a buzz? :tease:
  8. I don't worry about a breaker on my transom mounted TM that I use on my inflatables. If it were on my big boat (where the batteries are in a compartment) I would. The battery is going to be sitting right beside you and there really shouldn't be an issue. If you really want to put one in and save money just buy yourself one of these from Napa as they are under $10. Product Description Line code BKP Part number 7823001 Description Circuit Breaker Attribute Amp:50 Amp,Terminal Style:Threaded Stud,Product Features:(2) 10-32 Threaded Studs & Crosswise Bracket, Type I, Auto Resets After Tripping,Voltage:12 Volt DC,Mounting Bracket:Yes
  9. It's fresh and fun now but after a while the fun wears off. We had 4+ acres of grass to cut at our last place in Ontario. After a few years cutting the grass just plain SUCKED!!!! Ended up spending almost every non-snowbound weekend cutting grass. It was a 16+ hour job with the tractor to cut our lawn. Now I have no grass at all.
  10. Nice!!!! They look like SPDT 30AMP 12V relays to me. Just take it in to NAPA and they should be able to fix you up. You're lucky, the relay pack for my buddies Yamaha is proprietary and cost $300!!!!! You should get out for under $10. You should be able to find them at car audio shops and places like Future Shop and Best Buy as well.
  11. Depends on the relay. The one I just replaced for my buddy on his Yamaha is a single unit with 2 relays built into it.
  12. Dig out a volt meter and check your voltages on the power trim relay pack. Follow the power trim wiring back from the trim unit into the motors cowling. The unit they connect to is the relay pack. There are two relays inside the pack and it sounds like one is not energizing. Check the wiring for tightness and corrosion and also check the jumpers on the relay for corrosion. I just replaced the pack on my buddies boat because of a corrosion issue. You can test the power trim motor by connecting the 2 wires directly to a battery. one way you will get up and the other down.
  13. Lebarons has them for $100. http://www.lebaron.ca/pdf_files_sp12/minnkota_access.pdf Even cheaper on Ebay. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/MINN-KOTA-POWERDRIVE-FOOT-CONTROL-PEDAL-2774700-NEW-/400224558671
  14. You got that right Craig. Bring back the Red Fisher show!!! Now that was a show worth watching.
  15. I was on my second pedal on my last Minn Kota as well. They do pack it in quite often. They hold up a lot better if you store them out of the weather when not in use.
  16. Without knowing what unit it is I can't really say. Do you see the module? If so you should see two 12 guage wires coming out of the harness. These go to your starter circuit. Unpluging the unit will do nothing for you as the circuit will remain open. The two wires need to be connected together to allow the vehicle to start. My guess is the red and red/blue wires are the wires I'm talking about. So if you cut them close to the connector (leave a couple of inches in case you want to reconnect the unit) and connect them together (use a crimp connector or solder (you don't want to develop a bad connection as they always become a problem at the worst time)).
  17. I just routed the original line down there and then bought a new piece to go from the filter back to the original fitting. I was actually lucky in the fact there was already an oval hole with rubber edging to route through.
  18. Is the area under the spash well accessible? On my boat (not a Lund) there is storage and battery locations under there. I routed the fuel line into there to hook up my separator and then routed back to the original location.
  19. That's why I have a scanned copy at home and another stored in my email.
  20. It's an aftermarket immobilizer. Check the area under the steering column for the over ride button. When I was installing alarms and starters I would usually mount the switch either on the bracket that has the OBD2 port on it or above the parking brake on the metal dash bracket.
  21. Yep, or buy one of the cheap Chinese ones (you know, the ones that sound like a 747 on takeoff) and run it all night to charge your batteries. That should get the point across to the mgmt.
  22. Give my buddy Wayne a call. Fishey Business Charters
