Yep. It's all I have ever used. I don't use the Melnak unit though. I use the Spawnee tying rig as it allows me to tighten up my bag better and I tie under the rig not on top like you have to with the Melnak. http://www.fishusa.com/Product/Spawnee-Bait-Sac-Tying-Machine -
I have glasses from Rayban, Habervision and Smith Action Optics and they're all good glasses. The best pair I ever owned were made by Ocean Waves, but they are at the bottom of the lake after wiping out on my buddies jet ski.

One thing to remember LED TV's are LCD TV's. The older non-LED versions of LCD TV have a Liquid Crystal Screen with CCFL back lighting (florescent tubes) and the newer LED TV's have a Liquid Crystal Screen with LED back lighting (light emitting diodes). The LED's make for a brighter image and use less power. They are also less likely to have the back lighting fail or dim over time. If purchasing LCD make sure to get the highest refresh rate available so you don't get any motion blur when watching action flicks and sports. I have a plasma as I watch plenty of sports and I also believe the colour and image quality is superior to LCD units. I find the LCD units to be a bit harsh and I notice motion blur even on the high end units. I bought mine at a local retailer but would probably purchase at Bestbuy or Future Shop if it wasn't 1200kms away.

Doubt it has a cotter pin Bill. Most likely has a retention washer with 2 tabs that need to be either be bent up if it has the notched nut or down if it has the regular nut. Once the tabs have been bent out of the way wedge a 2x4 between the cavitation plate and prop to hold it in position while removing the nut and retention washer. Remove the prop. Reverse the process to re-install. As Bill said use a sharpie and mark the nut so you can get it tightened back up to the correct spot if you don't have a torque wrench.

The best way to jump off the train is with a full twisting double back flip in the pike position!!!!

I actually screwed my UHMW to the back of my boat. Sealed the screws with 3M 5200 marine sealant. I also ran a bead around the back side of the board including running around the screw holes before installing. It will never leak and lord help me if it ever needs to be removed.

I went on a tour of the hatchery on one of my trips through the area. It was pretty cool. If I remember correctly they also had a ton of lakers in there.

Yep, and I've fished it too. Spent over an hour fighting a large laker on Nipigon with light line before eventually losing it. I was fishing for brookies at the time with a 2/5 oz firetiger little cleo on 6# test. Best I could do with the fish in that hour was to get it 1 foot off bottom several times. The fish hit in Orient Bay trolling a 30-40 foot deep slot between an island and the main land.

DRIFTER_016 replied to John Bacon's topic in General Discussion
Dan I told him what size and thread earlier. I measured the one off the engine I don't have on a boat at the moment. -

Bolt size for Mercury steering linkage

It's a 1 1/4" long 3/8" diameter NF thread stainless bolt with integrated flat washer. -
That's late March. I have no issues with fishing the salt either. I'm heading down to FLA in late February for 6 weeks in 2014.

Or you have the chance of hooking into a 30#+ pike in the same water.

It's been 10 years since the big blackout

I lived in Grand Valley. No issues there. We had plenty of power. -
-
Unless you fish the waters I do. I run 40# flouro.
-
I use a 3 foot section of flouro between the braid and lure for my laker fishing. I tie using a back to back UNI knot.

So it seems you know the culprit. Did you give a description to the coppers?

Has this happened to you? Minn Kota Power Drive v2
DRIFTER_016 replied to Wendel's topic in General Discussion
I have the V1 and it has never happened but they may have changed the lock system on your model. As Bill said a Ram mount will fix the issue. -
Did he catch it on a large Wolverine spoon?

Welcome to tornado alley Raf!! I lived in Grand Valley from 1995 until 2005. We only had one tornado in that time and it was an F3. Came through the marsh heading straight for our house and when it got to the field beside us it hopped across the road and wiped out all the farms and houses over there. We had some minor damage from micro bursts but nothing more serious than a couple of broken trees. After the storm we found a 3# small mouth in the back yard about 20 yards from our pond. My guess is it was picked up out of Damascus reservoir. I wonder if it would have lived it it hit the pond? -
French River (Wolseley Bay area) - advice
DRIFTER_016 replied to sneak_e_pete's topic in General Discussion
I used to fish that area the first week of August every year. Caught my biggest large mouth bass (7.5) and biggest musky (53 1/2") up there. I usually found the bass up the Wolseley River in the slop and muskies were caught on structure and fast breaking shore lines and points.
