very nice I have been looking at my maps and still can't find lake X
-
LOL I was in a fish hut one time that was blown across the lake..scary but on a portable hut sounds like fun
-
that's too bad I have heard reports that there are fish huts piling up along some shorelines that have blown in and I am sure many more have headed for open water if the wind gets the ice moving we could loose all of it, I guess Beaverton would end up with all the ice with the wind direction cooks bay may be ok, but it could end up on shore in keswick too

this morning I thought a snowplow was going by the house, 4 minutes later it was still going by, aI thought to myself, self, there is no snow why would a snowplow be out there I open the front door, which is almost ripped out of my hand the wind rushing by the apartment building down the road made it sound like a jet motor running or a snowplow scrapping ice.... I have heard wind like that for a few seconds but this was constant on the way to work I had to dodge xmas trees and blue boxes and other lovely things flying around...fun WOW I would say the winds were 70 to 90 k and not gusts but constant

real sad I wish I could find out more about what happened if he fell through the pressure crack that always shows up at Roches point I can see that but there wasn't open water near that area but there is lots of water on the ice now and could well be open water...he could well have had a heart attack and was on the ice but by the time he was found he could have been floating on the water on top of the ice.........the report left so many unanswered questions
-
figured it would be something like that glad you got it working, nothing worst then a dead gps when you need it most

when I did mine in the house (no garage) I found I didn't allow for snow so I had to take the screws out of the cloth/sled ( the ones that hold the cloth to the outside of the sled) and redo them

well the question is when you got home did you try it again and it did or didn't work then you put fresh batteries in the unit, then hooked it up to the power cord and it ..did or didn't work then we can figure out the problem...

I would have to say that you can not hook up both outputs to the same battery you can do parallel for two batteries in series or series for 24v but not to the same battery
-
I went to Harry's in keswick one morning lately and he was closed, so I would trust him for anything anymore nothing like expecting to pick up supplies while helping the local businesses and the sucker is closed..nope no more money from me

I feel your pain..well maybe not quite my desktop CPU died , 2 years and one month old and I can't get the part form the company that made them, or from the place I bought it from got a place in the states sending me one.....it's stuck at the border..seems they don't want it in the country or something..still trying to figure out what is going on but I just don't want to buy a whole new computer yet
-
yeah for panfish they are the right size for the rod so it's balanced and work ok for panfish.. but they are hard to reel with gloves on and are too small and the drag isn't good enough for bigger fish.. so for white or trout go bigger and better

Computer Virus Protection . . . . (DEFINITLY N F)
Terry replied to Photoz's topic in General Discussion
Virus experts warn of 'Google poisoning' Posted: Monday, December 3 at 12:49 pm CT by Bob Sullivan You might want to take an extra half-second the next time you click on search engine results to make sure you know where you're going. Computer criminals have refined a sinister technique for tricking Web surfers into clicking on infected Web pages, turning search engines like Google into unwitting partners. It's known as “Google poisoning,” because Google is the biggest target, but it can impact any search engine. Criminals construct booby-trapped Web pages, then dupe search engines into giving them high rankings. -
Computer Virus Protection . . . . (DEFINITLY N F)

Stoty, I hope people don't take your advise most people do not understand computers or viruses if the see an attachment and it has a friends email address they think it's safe or they just don't know, and if they use chat programs even more problems and kids how do you tell kids not to open/ look or click on things there are websites that just going to the site puts a worm in your computer........ no people use a antivirus program on your puter unless you are a Web Developer / Computer Technician -
