Fishing for Tyler Report - My ice skunk is off!!
Terry replied to ccmtcanada's topic in General Discussion
great stuff everyone -
great report good to get out and see everyone
-
many people are much quicker and safer at taking the hook out while holding the fish, and as for taking the picture often I have the camera out and snap the picture before the person who caught the fish even knows that I am going to take one....whether it's in season or not....it's legal so do what you want as long as you don't target them
-
so you want Feb. to have 30 days for now on and July have 28 days every year but on the 4th year we have 29 days in July
-
some nice fatties there

Bay of Quinte: Some pictures from last weekend
Terry replied to Jeff_C's topic in General Discussion
nice catch -
funny one of the fishing magazines just did an article about getting fit to fish and shows exercises to improve your fishing
-
but is there somewhere I can do it that no one will see..... I mean if a tree falls in the forest and there is no one to hear it, does it still get protesters complaining about logging companies...... yeah I was kidding
-
Good morning! and a thought for the day!

words to live by -
looks like I will be dragging my butt out there
-
that is great news Joe thanks for the update

-....................it is not true...........................- P3TA paid for a study to prove fishing hurts, they tried to bury the results because the study proved that fish do not feel pain the same way we do, and around the mouth, in and out they feel nothing, they don't have a developed nervous system that would sense or transmit pain as we do and do not have the brain capacity to remember pain or a traumatic event...so being caught doesn't have a lasting affect on them as it would on us cut a big hunk of meat off a fish and put him in a livewell with other fish and in a few seconds it will be reacting and calmly swimming just like the other fish because it doesn't hurt the fish, it will react to you cutting it because it can feel but it can't feel pain as we do....
-
well that sucks... I guess as long as he fixes it up quickly all is good...see you on the ice Saturday
-
from what I hear the ice and slush have tightened up and everything is looking good..... so things should be fine for the weekend
-
see the problem is it was always in the regs. that all huts in zones that have hut register had to be registered then new reg. just made an exception for small portables and put it in the distributed regs .... now my argument is a hut is made to be set up and left in the same location for long periods of time a portable shelter is something that folds down and packs away and is taken off the ice each day I have a portable shelter....that's my story and I am sticking to it
-
I say we have to accept everything everyone does if it's within the law and our own ethics are our own and will be different then other peoples ethics so who are we to try to impose our believes on someone else who check the laws and acted within them... don't hate the people fishing within the law, hate the law don't try to change the people, try to change the law
-
you might be right, but I think they are more interested in the fact that you are not putting them into another lake but a back yard swimming pool might be a pond in under the law and that needs another permit
-
I bet some people here have got the permit and they took the fish with a permit to BPS and that's how I know about it, they had a thread about it some time ago it always gets me how most people on these boards assume everyone is guilty..oh well I guess that's life
-
well it is not illegal from what I read to have live fish, but the transporting of live fish is illegal..... and it does state some where that if you have sport fish in your aquarium, they count against your daily limit .. so I guess it's how you define "transport"..if I walk them up from the creek at the back of my house am I transporting them.. plus I hear the BPS gets a permit to transport their sport fish for their aquarium so assuming everyone here did the same..I don't see a problem...
-
well I guess there is that tackle shop on the 400 north bound, near king city I think there is Simcoe Bait & Tackle in Barrie, I don't know if Trombly's Tackle Box 595 West Street South, Orillia would have them
-
I keep that window open 90% of the time, but that is where I have be putting it when closed
