they take you off the list and sell your number to all the other Telemarketers I think their phones dial 12 numbers at a time and the guy picks up the first one that answers all the others hang up as soon as you pick it up

well I don't think they or anyone else has the right to block a road to solicit or anything in the world....... they block the beer store to do the same thing and I can live with that but not a road...the main road and the only road through town........ it may be a great cause, but the squeeze kids they their cause is great too.......

it is a mathematical equation as to what speed along with the weight of the truck...I doubt that cars or pickups could make a wave big enough to open it up, unless they were on a couple of inches of ice....

LOL ..I don't bad mouth the kids....as most don't and I see that as part of the problem I believe it is why the Jehovah witness now bring kids with them most times when knocking at doors...because people will restrain themselves when kids are around.......... but when I say no thanks and the kid gives the pouty look and says ah come on don't you like kids and what not..that is too much and it is that kind of begging I don't like..... and it's not just kids in my books here in Bradford the fire department bocked off the main road and had big firemen boots held out to the cars to get a donation....I was 15 minutes late for an appointment because of them.....how dare they......................

I found a cottage on an island....the owners aren't using it that weekend (I hope, so I thought I would just jimmy the window and use it) and leave 5 or so bucks to cover the cost of the new window they will need the food I ate, the booze I drank and the coffee table that will get broken when I fall over drunk....ok maybe I will leave 10 bucks

I disagree with just about everything Kirk said posting on a website stating there is a cause that could use some money is a heck of a lot different then kids walking up to you and some have a pretty slick and practised line to try to make you feel you have to donate or worst they bang on your door and lay on the guilt trip....that is panhandling and I think I red that about 20% of them are not collecting for a real cause and are unwitting participants in a con ............... if the kids want to put up a sign in front of a store that states what they are selling/ pitching and sit and wait for you to come to them..that's fine, but in your face give me, give me is panhandling....... a post about a cause on this website....is a choice that each person can make with no pressure .. as I said I would never let my kids panhandle..(if you don't like that word, Begging is another word that comes to mind feel free to change the word panhandling to begging)..I just bought all the chocolate bars they brought home from school

I never had the gov. pay for daycare or give money back for it..now that my kids are gone they do and I am paying for it..thats bull too..

group hug when my kids came home with things to sell for school stuff we bought it and never let them try to sell it to friend and what not.... it you make the kids then be prepared to pay for them quit sponging off everyone else I don't understand why so many people think everyone else should support their children

Just for the record..and I guess my bad but I don't rent to people on welfare any more..nothing but problems you know there has to be good ones out there but the bad ones seem to find the road to my place I called welfare to tell them my tenant didn't pay there rent..they said thanks for the info, they would take care of it.. I said oh so you will send me my money.. they said NO now that we know they didn't use the money allotted for rent, for the rent we will deduct it from their next check I say well how will they be able to pay me next month if you don't give them the money their answer..that's not our concern,,we would like to come by to take your statement... using my heads I said..statement for what? well for the fact they didn't use the rent money to pay you.... I said..I don't know what you mean, I was asking what if, I didn't say they didn't pay, just what happens if they don't.. well after a bit of yelling at me they gave up I went to the tenant and made a deal for them to pay extra till the rent was caught up.... so no I don't rent to them anymore.......

if you have a trailer for the snowmobile why not just use it for both.. I have a nice pair of ramps, but I never like using them, always envision one of them popping out and me going ass over tea kettle

yup, it seems lots of people know how to work the system and do and abuse it and that does make it hard for the people who truly need it. most people move into a motel with a kitchen, they are always willing to give a letter and you get a job and save for a real place

hell, I am so far behind, they had sent out a search party..... a year ago we were pretty close in numbers.......I slipping but they say I am getting more work done.... who da thunk it oh and that is a nice fish..just to keep a little fishing in the thread...

looks like a great time fishing...open water..oh yeah can't wait.... it will be 6 more weeks at lest before I can do any open water fishing
