  1. That's my uncle's boat, except for the motors. The times in that beautiful piece of work. We had a big Merc on the back of it.
  2. I have a 10 year old pair of Kamik skidoo boots. I just replaced the felt this year, and an extra felt insole on the bottom. Only wear wool socks.
  3. OFG Inc. in Beamsville. Now bankrupt. I was the Q.C. supervisor and receiver
  4. You'd be better off with a long crowbar with a straight edge, better yet a spud. Cold nights make thick ice in new holes. A lot of hut operators are usually willing to cut extra holes
  5. Used to work in floral wholesale. Been rather unwell the past 2 years. Now I try to make a little tackle when I can.
  6. One day can be great. The other That's fishing.
  7. WTG Snag. Some nice pike there. It's amazing what you can find along the Toronto waterfront. Just have to do a little backpacking.

  9. It's happening everywhere you look. It's just really beginning in Canada now. Give it another 6 months. I see and hear of more getting layoff notices or of hour cuts every day.The hardest hit will always be one plant, factory, towns. There is nothing to fall back on.
  10. Yeah, but the folks are nicer, the beer's better, and the girls prettier, in Scotia
  11. This time around just used all purpose flour. Had to thaw a loaf. The first 2 had disappeared by the time I got back from fishing.

  13. WTG Drew. Perfect day to be out eh?
  14. Wait til I get some good stone ground flour from one of the historic mills.
  15. I always set aside a couple of fillets for the puppies. Wouldn't do for them to be left out Besides, they're the only ones who put up with me unconditionally Glad I got out today. Next 2 days will be Brrrrrr!
  16. Too nice to be indoors, so off to another fave pond. Big white flakes of snow blowing around while I wait for a bite. Not a stellar day, but fish were caught. 20 over the course of 7 hours, a lot of dinks, and a few smelt as well ( they make great doggie snacks). Kept enough decent perch for a dinner for two.
  17. Da davil made me do it! Truth is, nothing beats the taste of old fashioned fresh baked bread. No additives, preservatives, etc... . With a we dollop of butter on top Now I'm ready for some fishing.
  18. Just finally finished in the kitchen. The aroma is just heavenly. 2 loaves white, 2 loaves cheddar. Once they cool a bit here comes the butter.
  19. Nicely done. The pencil sketch is particularily good. Don't do a lot of drawing anymore. Don't have a lot around the house either. Tends to get in the way of fishing. Here's one small piece Over 20 years back.
  20. Looks like you did better than a lot of us.
  21. Hit this site for public fishing areas in the city of Orlando. The municipality stocks a lot of water. Visitor licenses aren't too expensive. http://www.cityoforlando.net/public_works/...ter/fishing.htm
  22. You have my deepest condolences. She can now have rest from her illnesses.
  23. Totally harmless. Part of the normal lake cycle. Harmless to humans when cooked.
  24. The Minnkota pedal's cable should be more than long enough to reach the driver's console and allow you to control from your seat.
