  1. The CO's were on minimum staffing for the holiday weekend. Something to do with collective agreements and holiday payouts that were too costly. We couldn't get them for the Niagara Outdoor Show as a result.
  2. That would cause a huge loss in the revenue stream and some form of fee structure.
  3. The kids were having too much fun Thanks for reminding me of how much fun it was to take the kids fishing when mine were small.
  4. Now that mud fight sounds like fun. I love getting in trouble. WHo wants to be old and boring eh?
  5. Well done on a successful outing. The kid's faces tell the whole story
  6. You're doing good. Tomorrow you'll be a bit further, and the next day futher, than the day before. Should start to get easier now. Been 10 years come May, and the smell of a good bowl or cigar will still set off a hankering. Then the son waves one of them Rez smokes under my nose and the urge is gone quick. Man does that boy stink bad. You'll notice that about smokers too
  7. Good going. Nice meal for a foursome.
  8. One evening a wife turns to her husband and asks. "How many women have you slept with"? Without batting an eye he replies, "Only you darling. With the others I stayed awake". Hospital visiting hours are 2-8 pm.
  9. Kinda what I'm thinking. Just got to get through the weekend at the Niagara Falls show first.
  10. My Bad, correction Just heard the MNR does not have hard proof of equipment working the water's edge, or destroying shoreline, so they have little to work with. Priority of action will lie with NPCA and DFO. NPCA may be hamstrung by a 6 month statute of limitations The DFO has only just assigned the file to a biologist. Who has not yet seen the file. Our natural resources might just be squandered in red tape Seems I may just have to get right UGLI

    Nobody was home
  12. On that note it provides a property at a price that is far cheaper than buying land. It can allow the use of mobile units/ trailer homes, if the site allows non- permanent structures. For those with limited means, leasehold makes home/cottage ownership more within reach. As long as the property owner is decent, ownerships do not change, etc...
  13. Arbitrary service fee increases are the other trap on lease properties. Road usage fees went from $500 to $5000 when the agreements came due for renewal.
  14. Hit into a school of small stuff yesterday. I think the biggest was pushing 7"
  15. VIA rail is pretty set on their fee structure. So sites like the last minute clubs etc.. won't help. They do offer seasonal specials, multi passes, hopper passes every so often for summer travellers. Just have to keep checking the VIA site. Deals do book up fast.
  16. If you can't beat your competition, gobble em up and shut em down.
  17. The young lad did well. I gather you must have been the netman for the young star.
  18. The local club is on board with this being as it is right in their backyard. They will also be doing some lobbying. No stranger to stirring things up. I've embarrassed a few public officials in the past and I am only too well aware of how to utilize media when necessary.
  19. Back when I could go on such trips I never parted with the old tin pot. Still have it, dents and all. Only once did I do without. That was a 10 day hiking trip along the Bruce and we were carrying ABC rat. packs from the Forces as our source of sustenance.
  20. I know some of you fellas like this instant goo for camping but, being able to chew your coffee, in the morning, is part of the experience.
  21. On a weekend? You must be new to Canada eh?
  22. Even I don't know where all the pieces are any more
  23. I don't bring any electronics. The benefit of having been a musician. I can hear every last note inside that warped skull of mine
  24. I thought this was a Bob and Doug moment. Even got out the back bacon and beers
