  1. Jeeze you can't beat that deal it make a trip like this really worthwhile.
  2. Oh master cylinders still wear out and ABS systems can seize if brake fluid is not changed when contaminated - or moisture is present.Old systems may have a faulty proportioning valve if so equipped so you never know. But this could be a simple shoe adjustment issue as well for all we know!
  3. If the Ebrake sticks then you have a great reason to call midas head office to file a complaint then! And everyone should make it a habit of using the ebrake once in a while and you know what trouble the OPP will make if a roadside inspection is done Try the touch test on the drums if they are cold then you need to check the line pressure and work forward to the master cylinder.

I am going with a Compre 7-6 the only problem is finding stock right now. Zman depending on how serious you are you may consider upgrading to a 400 series Calcutta in the future.
  5. Terry have you tried stopping with the emergency brake only? Give it a quick try at slow speed on dry pavement to get an idea of the rear stopping power if any. Also after some braking cycles pull over to a safe place and feel the drums to see if they are warm or hot this will tell you if they are working. Was midas specific as to what work needs to be done on the front brakes? Contaminated pads would cause lock up before the rear as could a badly warped rotor (s) but you would feel pedal vibration.
  6. Hey beets are ok but I would rather have a blueberry pie! Picked up a few baskets of peaches plums pears and a bushel of courtland and mac apples at the farmer's market this weekend too. Oops can't forget the pail of clover honey. Schnitzel was the weekend feast along with plum dumplings and apple crumble
  7. Yep surely looks like that one is hooked on crack.
  8. Ok I understand the psychology concerning kickback however the hinge will control that, an angled cut especially with such a lean is more dangerous overall and the risk of a barberchair is much higher not to mention the risk of pinching the bar before the hinge is cut leaving you with an even more dangerous situation. Make a proper face cut and a straight back cut and use a wedge if necessary and Wayne let the hinge control the tree. Tree kickback is one danger but a barberchair is the worst. Hey I want to see plenty more reports from you in the future!
  9. OK I really don't want to go there but your buddy has 40 or the fish was 40
  10. No freeking way! I am impressed to say the least and ya gotta love the large bow, what a beauty!
  11. Why...I wasn't aware that A show was made in my honor!
  12. Wayne I am glad to see the trees down without injury but as an arborist I have to be forward and point out that those two felling cuts are very dangerous not to mention climbing at that height without any safety gear. is there any particular reason why you felt like making an angled back cut?
  13. For the first Muskie and at that size I say the man's got nerves of steel! Nice catch.
  14. Geeze Bruce I was kinda hoping to see another recipe or dinner pic at the end of your report
  15. Love this report and what a great catch but ... did somebody forget to feed Roy? The ski has a wider mid section!
  16. Hey you can never complain about catching a really nice Crappie!
  17. Hey Sean so did they put in one of those bionic implants good for reeling in 75 pound Muskies?
  18. Hey what - I say what's goin on there! the trees are green and yer fishin half nekkid!
  19. A fully satisfying report dood! love the Alaskan life and the picture it paints.
  20. Welcome to the board qmccharlie, I prefer the smaller ultralights for streams, longer rods are great and maintain sensitivity if they are one piece and I have to agree that the lighter the better so that's why I an searching out the best high modulus rods.
  21. A pic of Granddad fishing deserves to go with the rod!
  22. Sorry to hear this beans, cats are not the only animals who would drink this sweet toxic antifreeze and dumping it down the drain is just as criminal!
  23. The great thing aboot inflatables are that they are stable, ones with a hard floor allow you to stand up and cast ha try that with a canoe! Also fishing the shallows is easy as long as you don't hit too many rocks in el cheapo inflatable you will be fine. just don't set up a BBQ in rough water that's all I have to say!
  24. BPS has certain Compre spinning rods on sale from ultralight to medium heavy Picked up a few but I am beginning to lean towards Crucial for the one piece rods.
