Two youths beat a coyote to death in Alberta....
chris.brock replied to Tjames09's topic in General Discussion
That's the kind of mentality the kids in the video probably learned from their parents. Coyotes aren't an exotic, invasive species. They've expanded their home range because of what humans have done to the landscape. A coyotes main food source is rodents, mice, groundhogs, rabbits etc., not fawns and poodles. You're better off shooting humans if your goal is to return Ontario to it's natural state, before the white man came. -
29 shots on Freddie in the FIRST PERIOD, lol the record for any period is 33 by Tampa
-
huge comeback against a hot team tonight, they were on home ice too, lol

call me a tree hugger, P3TA, whatever you want, but if I saw that 1st hand I'd be going to jail -
Babcock won 1 cup in Detroit but I've heard it said, and I agree, with the talent he had, if he would have had balanced it out with some grit and toughness, the Wings should have won 3 or more cups. Are you watching tonight's 1st period? Lots of smooth skating in our own end defending but NOBODY knocking anybody down for christs sakes.

Not specifically, but Lucic is an example. Probably the most feared fighter in the NHL, averages 20 goals, has hit 30 while playing a heavy game. The Oilers are paying him 6 mill but I guess they are dumb and you know more than them, lol.

What's on your FISHING Bucket List?
chris.brock replied to David Chong's topic in General Discussion
for me, the Sutton would be awesome but it sounds like it's getting a little busy, I would love to try Lac Evans and see what it's all about -
notice Lucic knocks down Giordano and none of the Flames care to do anything, lol There's lots of players who play a regular shift, can score, play good D etc but are physical, gritty and can fight when needed. The Leafs are lacking in this department. I find this a little worrisome, especially when April rolls around and the real season starts.

A Sort of Report of a Portly Speck

here's a better, close up picture of Chuck when he's not all bundled up- -
Wow, look at that, the Leafs are 1st overall in the league, even without AM and Nylander
-
in interviews, what else are they going to say? I watched the game and it looked like the opposite
-
I like my shoulder seasons, we got ripped off this fall, hot in September than cold by mid/ late October
-
I thought Kadri was thrown right off his game last night after he realized guys were after him and he'd better keep his head up
-
I felt bad for Kadri last night, it was like he was the little fish, all alone, swimming in the shark tank (pun intended) Hopefully Sparks finds his confidence tonight, I don't have a good feeling though
-
In a game like tonight, wouldn't it be better to have Martin in there instead of someone like Gauthier or Marleau? Martin could say to Thornton and Meier "you guys want to run your mouths, talk to me". Regardless, huge win, like Kypreos said, the cycling and buzzing by the Leafs in the 2nd was crazy. The Leafs are 3rd in the whole league without AM and Nylander, not bad.

Chuck is putting on a clinic as usual! That's a handsome specimen. -
I hear ya Julian, but I think it's still pretty early in the season, he's proven what he can consistently do from his years in Long Island, I think the cream will rise to the top, I'm not worried or regretting signing JT. Now that I've watched him play more closely, he's kinda like a blend of Dave Andreychuck/ Joe Thornton. Maybe he settled back in Oakville. If I did happen to bump into him in Oakville, I'm going to thank him for having the passion and the balls to come home.
-
yep, I didn't think of that, that's probably the case they do hit offenders harder with hunting infractions compared to the fishing stuff, a guy near my cottage got hit for 10k for duck hunting infractions by my local CO
-
the numbers seem a little weird in 9 days they checked almost 4000 hunters, 440 per day, and that's only in P Sound, Bancroft and Pembroke regions? how many COs would they need to accomplish that? then where are all these COs when they're not busy with the fall hunting season?
-
Yep! Matt Martin would have knocked Carlton out, lol. Funny story, a buddy played Varsity B Ball for Guelph. He had made a few mistakes in a game and the coach took him out to sit on the bench. The Brock Badger mascot was in his face taunting him, saying- baaaadgers, baaaaadgers. My buddy lost it and knocked out the mascot with one punch. He didn't feel too great when it was revealed the Badger mascot was a FEMALE student.

ok, here's a guy from a playoff team, the Stanley Cup champs actually, Tom Wilson, I thought you said teams don't dress tough guys anymore?
-
no, we're not going to agree on this one, lol You're missing the whole concept. This is a contact sport that allows fighting for christs sakes, there's no other sport like it, anywhere. Physicality, intimidation and the threat of a beating are big factors in a team's success. This gets amplified come playoff time. The Leaf's team toughness is at an all time low. Matt Martin scored his 3rd of the season tonight.

Engine diagnostics report. Help please
chris.brock replied to mistaredone's topic in General Discussion
I would guess they included the diagnostic data numbers stuff just to show off and to try and justify what they are charging the customer. Maybe outboards that big are tougher, I've only done 3 small outboards, but I bet that mechanic could do the impeller in less than 20 minutes. -
it was hard and solid but yes, totally clean but, nobody would hit Gretzky with any significant force at all with Semenko around
