  1. nice smallie. You extreme guys had a great tournament year for sure. Congrats.
  2. sold. I will have one of each and give it a try this weekend and buy more of the one that works best. thanks. Sorry about the thread hijack ecmilley
  3. went out tonight for an hour on the Notty and fan casted an area with a cleo glow spoon and ended up losing it and snapping my rod in half. Nice! I had another rod but I didn't feel the joy after losing $100. Did n't see any rise so I went hom. I only live 15 mins away so I will go back another night.
  4. Those fish look big. How are you weighing them? Is it a digital scale? I would have put that smallie at over 4.
  5. cool pics. Congrats.
  6. Compared to daylight fishing for salmon off piers and in rivers, what kind of success do you guys have at night while casting spoons? Is casting spoons the way to go?
  7. Thanks Mark. I will go and see Lou tomorrow. Brown colour? or would you go with something that is a bit lighter?
  8. Not to hijack this thread but I was wondering where I can get yout strikezone stuff Mark. Is it only available online? I live in Barrie and would like to pick it up rather than have it sent.
  9. Nice fish. Hey Rob, there was a time back in high school when we used to play football against each other. We also played hockey against each other as well. lol
  10. Nice pics. Looks like most of those fall in the slot. Too bad.
  11. Very Cool! Are you fishing down in Cooks?
  12. silver enough for what? They are still fresh enough for a crazy fight I imagine. Nice fish.
  13. Bass were in 4 - 12 ft of water. The water there is tea stained so the it appears the bass have taken on the bronze clolour as well.
  14. That pike had an enormous head. I could barely wrap my hand around it. Too bad the rest of his body wasn't in proportion to it. Oh yeah and in case you didn't notice, I am wearing a Laurier Golden hawks Baseball hoodie and Waterloo Warrior football trackpants. Not something you often see worn together. lol
  15. Great report. Fishing was a bit tougher than I anticipated this weekend. That pirate was funny though. I think he was British. Pretty sure he was driving the boat with an open beer in plauin view the whole time. LOL. The guy in the front with the parrot said nothing but the guy at the back sure made up for it. "Arrggg, hand over your biggest fish so I's can win the fishing competition. Arrgg!" Too funny. He was good indeed.
  16. Just back from the West Arm. Although I did not stay at Lakair I managed to make it down to that end of the Lake on both Saturday and Sunday. I did see some OFC guys and girls and did wave. I briefly talked with one of you regarding your new motor on your boat. The scenery was breathtaking as the trees were really starting to change colour. The fishing was average but the company was great as I managed to fish with my dad both days. I did manage to get a few smallies, some walleye, and for me a new PB pike. Don't know about you guys but I was cold. Guess I should know by now not to trust the weatherman. Here are some of the pics from the weekend. Enjoy. Some pics of the fall colours little smallmouth bass caught on a drop shotted gulp minnow another little bass caught on the drop shot gulp minnow this is a more respectable bass caught again on the drop shot but with a 5 ft ultralite and 4 pound test. fun stuff One of my small eyes Although not a big pike by any means, this is a new PB pike for me at 36".
  17. As usual you guys are slammin some big bass. Well done!
  18. I was actually thinking of you BillM when I posted this because you always mention that you fish with your dad. My parents are looking to move back here as early as next year and that would be great seeing that we have lived in different countires and provinces for the past 17 years. Muskiestudd you are right. The roles have reversed and I love taking my dad fishing. Trying to pay him back for all the times he would take me out when I was a kid. i am going up to West Arm this weekend with him. Can't wait.
  19. True. You can also throw out from the rocks at Tyndale park. Lots of perch. You can also fish the North side of the lake (good when the wind is from the North). Find a park on kempenfelt drive. Park there and walk through the park down the steep bank and look for a waterski slalom course. Lots of fish. Use a float and about 4ft of line below.
  20. Nice hawg! Congrats!
  21. Congrats. I always take pics by myself. Place the camera on top of something stable. Aim it at yourself and use the timer mode. It gives you like 10 seconds to get ready and take the pic.
  22. save some money and buy some abs plastic tubing from home depot and cap the ends. Wrap your rod ends with socks. lol!
  23. My dad flew in from Edmonton today. I don't get to fish with him very often so it was great. We got out tonight for 2 hours and he beat me 5 fish to 1. He also caught a personal best bass. I really don't mind losing a fish competition to this guy. He is the best.
  24. Shore fish the dock at the end of dock road. There are thousands of bass there (rock bass lol). You will catch loads.
  25. probably a rental. I don't have a vehicle to pull my boat at the moment. My boat is a bit small as well. Is Lakair far from West Arm Lodge.
