  1. This is true but you don't get that much area to fish. To truly get into the lake you need a boat. If you like catching little snot rockets then Little lake is your spot. Wait until late June early July and catch some big bass.
  2. Wow. Between your Habs thread and this statement you are sure to win over our boys from Hull (Gatineau) and Roy. Having said that I don't think Leechman likes the Habs anyway.
  3. It's hard to do 50 up by that McD's just before it turns into BBP rd. I often look down and am pushing 80 through there.
  4. That is the same CO that I met in the Barrie marina.
  5. I might have called him in a thread that I made but it quickly got shut down and deleted. Quite fairly I might add.
  6. Well I guess it is our turn to finally get some rather than give some. Doesn't make up for the past 100 years of Ontario paying for most other provinces but at least it is a start.
  7. Most Allison Bass boats will whoop most bullet boats. Too many 100+mph Allisons out there.
  8. Trilene 8lb XL for genral fishing on Simcoe. Power Pro 30 lb on casting reals. Cajun 17 lb on other casting reels. Power pro 30 lb for down rigger with a 10 lb mono leader.
  9. Yeah. There are lots in there. Buy some small minnows and you'll be busy all day
  10. Where can I put in if I want to fish the mouth? Back in the day we used to put in by using the provincial park but I am not sure if that ramp is still there. If it is, do I have to pay to get into the park. I would assume yes.
  11. LOL! Definition of a BOAT: A hole in the water that you keep throwing money into.
  12. Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing too mcuh overhang might not even be able to see lights.
  13. They need to open a Cabela's in Barrie; right beside my house.
  14. looks good. As long as it doesn't leak too much or sink, you can't go wrong. Looking at the stickers I would guess the motor is about a 1985.
  15. Correct. THose are CDN prices and there is no duty. Cabela's opens in Winnipeg first. Kind of weirdish.
  16. There are times when I go an hour without any and then wham! Non stop for the next hour, 40 fish like that. Limit is 50 fish per person with sport license. Spring and fall people catch and keep those numbers but generally in teh summer those numbers are quite a bit lower. Did you launch at Tiffen or is that Cook`s bay

    SNAKES(nf)

Funny about 6 year olds. When I was 6 I used to catch them by the hundreds. Now I still catch them but I am really hesitant (no reason to be I jsut am). It is funny how we have no fear when we are young. My 7 year old doesn`t touch them but my 6 year old and my 2 year old love them. Go figure. I like your pic. Here is one of my 6 year old with a garter (she was 5 in this pic)
  18. nice job I went to the Barrie Marina today for fun. Lots of fish but quite small. did manage to catch one jumbo 12 incher. Sometimes in the summer and fall I catch perch non-stop and they are everywhere in Simcoe. I always wonder how many perch there are in that lake. I bet there are more than 1000
  19. Wow!! Are you kidding me? That is a lot of good quality fish. I am not jealous at all (Insert sarcasm HERE)
  20. I was fishing the Barrie Marina today with my kids for a few hours and an MNR CO) asked to see licenses. I have been asked to see my fishing license before but only by police. I was pumped. Everyone on my dock had a license but he got someone for fishing without one on another dock. I talked to him a bit and he said he was just starting his shift and it was about 4pm. He mentioned going out to see the smelt guys tonight. Just thought I would share. It was nice to see the MNR's presence on Kbay today.
  21. I say go for it. (Just make sure your wife is as good looking as Charlie's)
