  1. It's awesome how orange the fins are, it's also my favorite color on jigs and baits even in crystal clear water it seems to work on every species.
  2. Or you can build your own ghetto sock. Just get some rope and a big bucket, drill a few holes in the bucket to get your desired speed and your good to go.
  3. It is key to know where and when they spawn, and then you can put the pieces together. Where I fish opening day is usually 2 weeks after they spawn, so it's perfect. I look for the best structure tight to the shorelines near the spawning grounds, they usually hug the shoreline for the fist few weeks after they spawn, my favourite technique is casting jigs and slowly hopping them along the bottom, don't overlook any docks or boathouses along the shore. If you don't know the area to well, I would drift worm-harnesses with minnows along the shore until you find them.
  4. LOL. I never understood fly tiers, a lot of work and time for such a small creation that you can buy for far less than the effort, but they do look great and I bet you nail some nice fish with them, you'll feel good that you caught something you made with your own hands.
  5. Sweet fish Bucktail, looks like your playing the bass guitar on the big one, lol.
  6. I think you mean, why all te gayh men should have antlers.
  7. Get something you can put in there face. honestly I think they eat anything that gets in their way, from walleye jigs to musky spinners. Large spoons, spinners, bucktails, and 1/2 jiggs with large rubber worms or shads are all top choices for me, I've also caught many with suicks the 9" and a 6" suick is deadly in the spring. Oh, and you might want to pick up some quick-strike rigs and bobbers if you like live or dead bait fishing.
  8. Well hope this threads appropriate for a good laugh, anyway here's a good one. Some FBI hacks to track a phone. Track your friends cell phone

  13. LOL. A guy up here has one exactly like Joey's pic but it's mounted on without the wheels, it's actually a sweet set-up. Here's the guy that owns it. And this one looks like it's from the same contractor as the one above.
  14. Alaska and a small lake in the mountains of Japan would be cool.
  15. Have a good one Wayne.
  16. Spaghetti and meat-ta-balls.
  17. I wonder what the record sucker is ? I seen one in spawning with the walleyes last year that dwarfed some large wallies. lol. Just image the fame you could get with that.
  18. I use to love opener, the crowds are getting bigger every year but I've met a lot of new friends that way, still fun.
  19. Haha.
  20. Here is another huge pike floating around the net, supposedly caught in Italy, 50lbs. What a monster. Esoxhunter
  21. Wow, thick tail on that one.
  22. Even though education of the species your fishing is great and can only improve your odds I think luck has a lot to do with it to. I like water bodies that have low fishing pressure or none at all would be nice the size of the water body I think would up the odds of a unique fish, the amount of bait fish or forage, a body of water with numerous and large spawning areas that the species require to reproduce, a body of water where the limit to consume is low or 100% release would be even better. Good question Marc, I think all these new diseases need to be contained or somehow controlled as well or it could destroy a body of water in no time.
  23. Exactly Nip, but I'll be watching for the storm coming in and that's when I'll be racing to get out onto the water. Had the best days just before a storm, it's magic how the fish go crazy, but not recommended for those concerned about their safety.
