Ya,the temps drop like a stone here It,s not over yet. Crazy winds and down pours. Temps dropped so fast while I was outside watching and got goose bumps. The sky is not black or grey,it,s green and thunder is going off like cannons. There has been some lighting,but it seems to be sheet.

Fishing in Canada vs fishing in the USA is a whole different thing. I do not know if it is mind set or the amount of fishing or the amount of people that love fishing. I am on many fly fishing sites on FB. Guess which has more? USA. Those guys down there are right into it. Up here,I have found a handful and they are not that great. Yes, there are the east coast and west coast ones,but in the USA,they are everywhere throughout the states. This is why BPS and Cabelas and small stores thrive down there and not up here. I was peed off when Sails closed in Vaughan. They had a much better selection then BPS. And YES, ONLINE shopping is killing small shops here. I have finally got on the online shoppping. Lots of my supplies come from BC and some from up in northern ont. I have even ordered from Montana now,as I cannot get a better price for my leg material for my bugs.

I have looked on the MNR site and there is nothing about a die off or spraying. That small lake is very pressured in the winter months. I have fished it many many times. Full of snot rockets and some very nice bass. Fun place to fish.

This morning was a blast. Lost count on how many hit and lands. Fun forsure. Then it got hot and that was it for me. Tied this little gem this morning. Was the ticket for all the fish this morning.

I have really gone away from quality of fish the past couple of years. I am more interested in having fun with my ties and seeing how they work. Always fun and gratifying when it comes together. I was up way to early to head out,so finished up a egg pattern order,then headed down to the lake for a wander and fly fish. Lots of small fish were hitting the surface all along the shore line. Put on my new foam bug and gave it a go. MAN,they eat that up like nothing. I even had to move on from a gill spot,as they were just gulping them down. I have no idea how they get that fly down so deep for such a small fish.

Watch though. They like to high charge. It,s a money people place.

I tied up some free give aways and thought, what about something for the kids. So I am tying up a couple dozen pin bugs they can put in their hats. I tied them no different then I would on a hook.

Wanted KABOBS today,so off to look for supplies. NO-FRILLS had family pack chops on sale. I can make them do I say. Debone the chops,season and on the stick with shrooms. Side salad and sliced baked taters,home made tzatziki sauce and well,burping up garlic now,but dang good eats.
