This is a very sad and great lose to the Simcoe fishery. Wil did so much for it. He was the kind of guy that would talk to anyone. It was like you were long time friends ,even if you never met him before. RIP Wil

It,s a simple 2 part brown sugar,1 part sea salt dry rub,leave in fridge for a couple of days flipping each day. Pat dry,let sit in open air 12 hours and on the grill.When you start to smell the bacon,it,s ready. BTW, Great to hear from ya ole bye.

I like that I can do a pull pork or brisket . Start in the afternoon,and by morning,it will be done. I will be trying this theory soon.

Some baby back smokey bacon ribs that fell right off the bone. Could of made pull rib meat on a bun with these. Charcoal snake ( 1st time ) with apple chunks for smoke. We had a half each tonight,and think I,ll just pull the meat off the other 2 and make sloppy pork on a bun tomorrow with some apple slaw and home fries.

Yes sir bye,s. She all be done just as the Mrs,s get home from work. That's how I roll. Happy wife,,,,,, ah never mind, I eats good. 3 big chunks of apple wood on the coals and get,er done. Still had enough hot coals to get some Italian sausage cooked up as well. Go big I say. So does the wife, but I say, ya got what ya got. Mix up a nice fresh green salad and we'll, get at it.

You did really well with that boat Rob. I will be getting the green machine prepred for next weeks opener. New 50 ah battery is already on charge,new motor just needs ft extension on the wires to reach the battery to balance out the craft. Finder chip swapped from the ice machine to the large tv screen one. Might need some new air in the tires as well. Maybe hit the car wash and give it a shine. LOL

A&W ? I,ll stick with my own mozza mushroom burger. The past year or so,I have gotten away from bread crumb and egg binder. I just go straight ,salt,pepper and some seasoning. I keep the coals in the middle and put the burgers around it. Cover 15 min with the top vent open 1/2 . Bottom pot is always open full . Flip and another 15 min. Put in the middle for 5 min to get a bit of char, flip,mushrooms, cheese and cover for another 5 min. They turn out so nice and juicy. Let the meat tell ya when it,s ready.

Thank goodness she did not use smelts. Would of been a waste of good eats.

I want to say a BIG thank you to our most generous member on this board. He never seems to amaze so many members here. If the world had more gentle giants like this guy, it would be such a better world . BIG CLIFF dropped off a package to my door this past weekend while I was at work. It was more then I thought and very much appreciative for his generosity. I have not tied many buck tails, but these will be getting me on another new path of tieing. Thank you so much SIR. Yer a hell of a great man. Very sorry I could not be there in person to receive them .

Lots of chatter on the prices for launching and parking and the very much lack of shore fishing. They need to work on ticket holders getting free launch and work on shore fishing access . Use to be a great event when the kids were young. We fished many places from shore.
