When pop had his gardens,it was full of, sweet corn,tomatoes,potatoes,carrots,swiss chard,radish,peas,beans and peppers, leaf lettuce,cucumbers, beets and yes, we ate the tops. The list goes on. I can still remember the days of shoveling up the garden in the spring.Pop always did it when we were wee fellas,but eventually we got into the act as well. Dig (jump on the spade),lift,turn and chop the dirt.This was a work out that we really didnt look forward to,but me bothers and I, knew it was a bonding thing. Years later,our sis got into the game. Girl or boys,you did your share. For years we all took care of it. Watering,pulling weeds, pruning. We learned how to. Today there are nice machines to do all that pre hard work. My pop uses a tiller now and still gardens.He,s trying different things these days. One that stands out it Russian potatoes. Not bad. When you need it done, and theres now child labor around,you do what needed. LOL

I have three corners mine at layed up against, plus two closets. If I say I need another,she just walks me to each one and asks whats wrong with this one, or this one or this one. LOL

Eye emergency visits are covered by ohip. I was surprised I have to put up cash for cataract removal and new eye lens for both eyes. One has glaucoma. There is lazer available for accurate measuring of the pupil.$100 extra. I was told there was also an upgrade lens for night time driving . It eliminates halos. (which I do see when driving when dark) Paid an extra $100 to the hospital for that. If there,s one thing I would gladly pay for, it is my eye sight. $550 total for both eyes to be done. As for what Wayne (and his whole family has gone through and others here),I would not wish that on my worst enemy. Yes we do have a great health care system here.

This is why I really like this board and the members here. This morning I,m at work wishing I was fishing and get a text. Hey Brian (not guy, not dude,not bud, not sir) this is how you catch lakers on lake Joe. Live bait. I LMAO at this text. Once work was done for the day,I head out to fish a couple of hours. As Im sitting there ,I see a couple of guys walking out. One guy looks like someone from the board. I give a shout out. They keep walking. I walk over and sure enough,it,s who I thought it was. Talking away with him and enjoying our talk,I tell him our friend from the board is stopping by next week to pick up my smitty. Turns out the guy, that is picking it up, is the guy with him. He laughs as I had never met this guy before. These two guys were, Christopher K and Jeremy. What a couple of weisenheimer guys. Good seeing ya byes, and nice to have met you Jer.
