This past weekend,there was a group of people at the barrie launch to help those understand what they needed for their boats. COMPLY WITH THE LAWS. There was no fee or anything. They helpped you launch your boat and went over a check list with the owner. These were not the police, but a boaters group. I watched two boats go through their inspections. There was nothing major with either one, but both failed to produce a working flash light. And yes, they had the orange pee buckets. Once the check was done,they were given a copy of the list of things they checked. I thought it was pretty cool to see. Boaters helpping boaters. Last year I was inspected on the water by the OPP while on my toon. I was told I required one of those floating ropes. No big deal. They advised and left me to fish away. If you just treat them like they were your friend,they will look at you the same.( I hope they do anyways) Give them flak , then your just looking for trouble. PS I like that I have my camera straped to the toon. Just a quick push of the button, and it records. Just encase.

In flight? I try to get them when their just running around. LOL Canadian road runner I call them. Nice shots bud.

I went through the same thing here at the Barrie marina years ago. They called the police and they had no answer for the caller. There is no charge. Come here when perch are in, you will see boats sitting there. Good on them for keeping cool and kept on fishing.

What gets me, is the folks that feel the need to feed them when the lakes are freezing up. Then they become dependent and freeze to death from the cold. There,s a reason why they fly south. Good read G. Thanks

Seem things are slowing down there now, but there was a cool find under one dock. A good mix of perch,gills,crappies and bass. Shinners are still crazy thick. There is a huge family of ducklings. Not sure they all belong to mama, but she sure keeps them in line.

Not sure. This store for some reason,offers some great deals. I have found deals there, yet, the south store dosent have the same.

I was in need of a new bladder for the toon. Between the leak I had and trying to fix a faulty air port, I was looking state side for a new one. Like I said before,it was $40 US for the bladder, and $50+ us for shipping. Been on line looking at new toons and yaks. Yaks are getting crazy on the pricing, and toons are far and few on the Canadian side. Walmart USA has a lot, but to have shipped,forget it. CTC here had a couple so thought I would stop in and see if they were on sale. As I walk in,I see one hanging from the ceiling. Thats new. I was sure it was in the $350 range from looking at them on line. As I get close,I see RED TAG SALE Regular price,$389. ON SALE FOR $199 It was a no brainer. Buy and I will have spare parts. This one also came with a folding seat which I was going to buy for the other one. They retailed for $40 or more. So saved $$$$$$ making this purchase. They had 30 on the floor if anyones interested in buying. Im almost thinking I should buy another and just put it away, or take up to the parents and leave it there. So looks like Im back in action.
