  1. I have been trying this. I also have a large brim hat. I was wearing it in my Saturday video. Just didn't wear it Sunday, as I only have a head mount for my go pro. I dont trust that bill clip I have. Need to get a shoulder strap holder for it . I always have my shades on. I have enough troubles with my peeps. I do not need another issue to deal with. I,ll be pinching from now on Tom. Good to have the vets of the fly fishing advise . .

  8. Thanks guys Ya Bill, I thought of that, but didn't have a pair of pliers, but if I did, they might get off. LOL J/K. I also think I should of stepped up from a #12 to maybe a #10 to get bigger fish? Like I said, still learning. The last area I fished, I will be returning too. Seems I have this Friday off all of a sudden. There is miles and miles to explore there. Never know what you'll find when you take a Sunday drive.
  9. You got that right Joey. Looks like a road trip for some bass fishing this weekend.
  10. Their colors are amazing. I have taken 2 with the shot gun. They were my only two I ever took. I didn't fancy them after eating. So I never stocked them again after that. Great shots.
  11. Pulled a couple of chicken breast to go with the left over half of ribs from yesterday. Dry rubbed with yellow curry and garlic. Indirect cooked for 1.5 hrs. Yellow goodness. Basted with some stuff in the fridge.Cherry juice and plum sauce. Was tasty. Always thinking just outside the box.
  12. Theres always the, are you cooking this or me? That always works for me. Now back to the grill I go. Never a complaint about my remarks or cooking.

  20. Was at the water at 4:30 this morning, slipped the toon in, sat on the boulder and watched the most beautiful glow, off in the horizon. Sat there with coffee in hand and just watched. When I was fully absorbed by this great sight,I set out for some white fish and laker jigging. The lake for some reason ,has been in a real funk. Many I talk to, say the lakes changing again. I think it,s the amount of bait that has grown in this lake. Herring, shinners, gobys and perch. Yes perch. We have been jigging them up in a 100 fow. Snagged most of the time, but they are down there . Fish are gorging on them. The proof would be the size of the fish caught these days. I remember catching lakers that had a huge head and small body. Have not seen that in the past years. Non the less, I am always heading out to try my luck. I marked fish in 120 fow all the way up to 55 fow. Some chased, some just came up off the bottom and had a look and went back down. I wanted to feel a tug on the line, so headed in shallow to give fly fishing a try for some perch on my bead head skud. Water is still cold. 2 weeks ago it was getting up to 60 deg. Then with all the winds the week after, the lake surface went to 51 deg. This morning it was at 60 deg. The weed is still way behind, and we are into June. I added some new quick connect holders to the toon. They worked out just as I thought they would. Just slide in the conduit and lock into place. I made the go pro arm longer, to get a better full view of the fishing action. I also added a rod holder to it for my trolling. So the fishing was real slow for me, but a fishing report, is a fishing report.
  21. Our older box would not take up dates no longer. Went with a new one. X92.
  22. I have floats, but they are in the truck. I,ll take a pic of them. They are a small float. Im thinking they work best with a bead head/ sinking fly.
  23. Hey Bill, this is where I got the colored indicator line from. Tip high and watch the line. Where to buy this locally? Wonder if I use my raven lines ( lines of many colors ) and uni them together, would it do the same Sunday I plan on heading out walking some streams. Thanks FF I got so many knots in my head, I am getting knot crazy. Something about, keep it simple, keeps coming back to me. yet I still search. LOL Thanks for the Rio product. Will grab a spool.
