  11. got it but haven't tried it yet - no ice:( seems pretty supple (2 & 4 lb) but as for visibility, i don't know how it will be. it is white, but definately opaque.
  12. classic patterns is my favorite fishing show, and KVD is really one of the elite fishermen of today. they have a DVD set of 13 Classic Pattern episodes and I'm strongly considering buying it off of WFN

  18. i am torn. i think that on boxing day i may buy either a vexilar FL-8 or a Lowrance x67c ice machine. i realise some of the pros and cons of these 2 units but i was hoping that OFNers could share their views on them. anyone out there own either of these machines? likes/dislikes? pros/cons? thanks alot, darcy
  19. was @ BPS last night and they were stocked up on them
  20. the 11th?, the 19th? try January 4th! man i hope it gets cold:(
  21. bass is my first passion when it comes to fishing but i really love whatever's on the end of my line.
  22. i have the scout w 100' of cable, and i find it kind of a neat toy. they are very cheaply made and despite the fact that i am super careful with it, one of the knobs on the monitor broke. i have had the unit for about 10months and haven't had any problems withe the actual camera yet.
  23. i will certainly, for sure, without a doubt, be hitting lebarons for their no tax sale. great deals every year.
  24. i have an explorist 500 & it's pretty good. i paid about $370 for it plus i bought some software from magellan for the eastern great lakes. the unit is small, seem pretty durable, and has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery; a great feature for long days on the water. it also has adjustable screen brightness to conserve battery power. there is no case included with the unit, just the reciever, and a charging/PC cord one thing that i'm not to hot on is the software. i had to order it from magellan (had heated discussions with staff @ bass pro & lebarons over the very existence of this product), and it was pretty expensive(approx $200) the software maps also seems to be off when i'm trying to match up spots on the lake. however, i would say, for the price you'll be extremely hard pressed to find a better unit.
