hey everyone, i have an ice bungalow booked for Jan 4-7 with rob hyatt in callander bay. i gotta say, i'm hating this weather my question is, does callander bay typicaly freeze up well before the rest of the "big" lake (similar to cooks bay/lake simcoe?)

the story about someone making a hole with an auger is true! i don't know if it was new or if it was a power auger but there was indeed a 6 or 8" hole amongst the parked cars on that day. i was walking into shore after fishing for the morning and noticed water on the ice near the cars. closer inspection showed water flowing up through the fresh auger hole. guess the weight of the cars coupled with all of the water on the ice was too much. i'd hate to be stuck with the tow bill for something like that.

hey everyone, so i'm trying to do some maintenance on my baitcasters now that bass season is done, and i've started with my pflueger president. the trouble that i'm having is i can't get the handle off. i realize that on my other baitcasters there is a thing in the center of the handle with a screw that allows the handle to be removed and then the drag can be backed off and the gears exposed. on my president there appears to be no way to do this. does anyone have any experience with these reels?

that is hillarious - the same thing happened to me on the niagara river this weekend. a tearn went for my roe sac on the cast and got tangled up in my line. happy to say that it was landed & released to fly another day!
