  1. I was there too last night Wayne. Third time seeing him and last night was awesome. Were you able to make out what was being spelt on the board behind the stage? We were trying to decipher what was up there.
  2. Try Bob and Jeff at: Busy Corner Garage 24 Devitt Avenue South, Waterloo, ON N2J 1Y5 Telephone : 519-745-1145 Very, very honest and reliable.
  3. Hey Raf. I had to have my thermostat replaced at least 3 times on my 89 cherokee. That always appeared to fix the luke-warm, almost cool temps coming out of the vents.
  4. I can't help you about that time. If I'm on the road that early I take the other ways in as they're pretty good. I guess it'd be fine though. Even when I get on when it's congested it's a huge time saver for me and I'm not going far.
  5. I usually take it for about 10 km from Donald Cousens Parkway to Warden. I get on a during peak time - between 8 and 8:30 - and it's pretty congested. It's not quite stop and go, but there are some very slow spots until it opens up to 3 lanes at Markham Road (Hwy 48). Once i'm past that it's quick. One the way home it starts to get congested around McCowan as it goes to 2 lanes. The good news is they're adding or widening the lanes there east of 48 too. I haven't gone past Woodbine so I can't say how bad it is further west.
  6. Try Spaneur on Victoria St, near the Parkway exit. They had a showroom/warehouse last time I was in there. Spaneur
  7. You can get a boat rental here.Sunny Shore Not exactly in Killbear, but about a 10 minute boat ride from certain parts of Killbear
  8. I love the little cleos myself with a blue colour combo. This site has some interesting tips if you're not going to be down-rigging. laketrout.org
  9. I picked up two cans of Seafoam for $20.50 (tax included) today at Carquest in Markham.
  10. I recommend the Kinesys brand. We use it as it is one of the very few brands that my daughter can use due to Eczema. This is the only brand I'll use now too - non greasy and nice and light. It's easier to find nowadays.
  11. My condolances Lew and to your family. I am sorry to hear about your loss.
  12. This place is about 10 minutes from me - never stayed there, but the park looks ok. You'd be about 30 min from Sibbald. Musselmans Lake camping
  13. I use the same one. Like Rick said I doubt if it'll stop thieves. It'll protect you from tampering and bored kids at the launch sites.
  14. I'd like to see more barb-less hooks. If not across the province, then on some of the busy waters.
  15. Mike. The same thing just happened to me with my Nautilaus battery, just going on 3 years. Mine is a deep cycle. My starting battery is fine, and it was stored right beside it in my garage. Although not directly heated, it was fairly comfortable in the garage. I think I misused mine over the years in that I would charge it up too often. I would charge it every couple of outings, even though the reserve capacity was quite high. I read the other day that re-charging when it's at mid reserver capacity or highe is not good for the deep cycles - just like Irish said. So, I need a new one to for this upcoming weekend. I'm not sure what brand I'll try this time. I'll have to check out some stores this week.
  16. I have the same one as Nemo and I recommend it too. Very affordable and lots of space.
  17. We had the same problem with our camera and tried rechargeable as well. I thought it was a probably our Kodak camera as our first kodak was fine. I switched to the Duracell Power PIX batteries and I'm still one the first two batteries - well over 50 pictures. I was lucky to get 10 so, if the camera would power up. They were more than the regular duracell, but worth the money so far.
  18. Nice report. I use the same lure and colour most of the time, at least 150 feet out too. Works very nice. I can't wait to get out - hopefully next weekend.
  19. That's why I moved out of Kitchener
  20. Thanks for posting - this explains all the people with GPS units in the park behind our house today.
  21. you might like this site as well. The Dorset one may interest you. Ontario Web Cams
  22. Little Cleos and J-11 Rapala's are my go to ones in the spring and when I down-rig for them in the summer. I rarely use much else. Blue and silver combination are my preferred ones. When those aren't working a white Rapala, any model, does well too for me.
  23. I picked up Sirius about this time last year for the same reason Gerrit - got tired of the local stations. Main reason for Sirius was Howard Stern, if I wanted to listen to him. I don't listen to him a lot, but the shows are much more fun uncensored. There is a great mix of stations available - I'm amazed at all the new music I've heard lately. It's great to have on longer trips as you can still get all 'your' stations. I drove to Quebec last week and I was glad to have it - well worth the small monthly charge. As stated earlier if they do merge in the US, I think it'll happen in Canada too. Sirius also has the option to listen on the web too if you're a subscriber.
  24. I use this one, even though it's not specific for Balsam. Select the Lake Ontario view and you should be able to see Balsam, as well as many others. Coast Watch It's not real time, but updated daily. Mike
  25. I met Jean-Paul Tremblay and Rob Wells, aka Julian and Ricky, at the Toronto airport last feb. They seemed shocked that I called them by their real names, then walked off to the bar.
