  1. pic's from Sinker
  2. Shane, PM me on FB the image and I'll post it if you want for you. I have a funny feeling he's very dialed in on his gear here so... It's up to him to send the image so I can post from my PC vs him having issues from the "mobile version" of the site.
  3. NEWB HERE! I had a "sonar" from the dark ages on the boat and the ONLY time I ever turned it on was for surface temp ideas so I could try and decide to fish from "my new to the area knowledge" vs what I knew from the past of "where and I more than likely to catch a fish". I'd love more info with my new toy. And yeah I have been in a few fully rigged boats but just did my "thing" and kept up with the graph watchers while fishing. So setting info for the most common senerios I'm all game folks. Again, my fish-finder is "oh that line tree about 20' off from that dock of the 'A' Frame cottage" is how I have fished forever... Cheers
  4. Same!!! I got a new to me (was a new display unit at a retail store) Lowrance Mark-4 at the end of the soft water season and I'm yet to test it as I haven't even made it on the ice this year to even try and tinker with it. *sigh*

    A nice find

That's funny. And I agree to print a pic to sit along with it.
  6. I couldn't even step on the ice at my folks place and keep dry. They had 3 different drainage tubes even in -24C still running water to the shore line the last 2 nights... I would have needed a 14' long 2x8 to get me to safer ice (if lucky). My season is done in my mind to safety. Rather be safe than sorry here... Call me whatever but I'm okay with it as this is an area I DO fish and now cannot *edit* to the poster I quoted, I'm 100% with you on this not a quote to be rude to you
  7. Well put Ryan
  8. It's good to hear you found so many and that things are looking up!!
  9. At my folks place now and the West side shore is very thin. I didn't pack my fishing gear (daughter is sick) so I used an old broken hockey stick as a spud and I broke the 100% white ice with 3 hits. I can see a line where the melt happened. My dad thought the shore opened up here with the past mild spell. However a guy is out 20' out on his sled going up and down the lake.
  10. cool and wait, you're 50?!?!
  11. Well so much my for my attempt to hit the ice this weekend, daughter is sick...

  12. Well Chris that's a huge change over the season! Be safe dude!
  13. Visiting my folks this weekend and with luck a 1st chance on the ice this year. Local to the 705 Kawartha area so spud bar and float suit on before I unpack the other fishing gear
  14. Yes cause the fumes put out if torched I'm sure are toxic I'm sure.
  15. 100% true. They even took the dash skin. So why not the seats as I'm sure they would fit in an older body model.
  16. Same, and ice rod on the collar should do just fine
  17. I hope to softwater season...
  18. Wouldn't it be more cost effective to get a whole new LED light kit with wires and run them yourself vs paying someone shop rates for the same solution? Just a thought to where I'd start
  19. Dan I don't blame you for the venting AND I too wouldn't want it back. Good luck man!
  20. I fully would support a dusk to dawn ban vs "pay me $xx to play fairly or not"
  21. They did years ago as I had a family cottage as a child and my uncle's buddies would either rent from there or pay and launch If you plan to go there I can send you a map for some bass spots via a PM
