  1. Great point! Time for me to hit my dad's tackle box next time I go to the cottage!
  2. mike, go fish by the grocery store then, more level ground from what I recall to be safe. minnow, prob $5.10 after tax.
  3. looks like it's almost ready. good job. hull, hummm, white or sky blue? Ohhhh, how's about painting it like a big musky considering the colour it is now...
  4. It's funny you say that bait as when I was fishing Lake Kashagawigamog lake year I had a large musky blast at it (at dusk) and send the lure into the air but not hook up. Looking at the musky in the air missing the lure all I was thinking was DAMN!!!!
  5. nice fish, I just hope not to get skunked when I head out...
  6. Yup, CAN'T WAIT!!! the heck with the Q, go after them when the time comes and make notes...
  7. I have to echo the others and say have a panfish bonanza with a 5-year old rather then a musky. Sure, my daughter who is 5 would love to see a musky but there is now way the 2 of us can fish for them in a safe manner when one is hooked. Go out and have fun with fish that bite often and that will get your 5-year old wanting to fish more, not one big musky that scares the crap out of them, IMHO...
  8. thanks. I'm still getting the hang of baitcasters so it was going to be for my spinning gear. maybe I should get it and use it for my daughters spincast? it would last for years the amount she fishes...
  9. thanks, as I was going to get this for backup link for my spinning gear.
  10. did you try Goreski's?
  11. yes, this shoud be a pined/sticky topic. It's a great how to post for those that don't know or are new.
  12. how is that line? I use the spiderwire stealth and like it a lot but 2 packs for $15 I might have to go get some if it's good too. anyone use this line?
  13. Great repot C,C & S. Good luck with the musky hunt too.
  14. with photobucket, check your other post...
  15. with photobucket, and it's free. you add the insert image to the post with the link to the photobucket img.
  16. Sinker, Sunday is the better day to go this year for kids as it's the twoonie day for the rides...
  17. or as Dave would say "the yellow floating minnow bucket"
  18. hey all. Well it's that time of year again when the fairs start rolling through towns... Is anyone going to the Brooklin spring fair from the board? I'm sure I may run into jigger there but not sure if others are going. If there are enough people going maybe we can do a M&G some time on Sat. or Sun. in the parking lot between Winchester and the beer tent just after lunch (AKA the hockey rink lot)? Your thoughts? Ok, Ok, I know someone is bound to say to do the M&G in the beer tent but that's just to easy... Cheers, Geoff
  19. PS, extra PFD's if I have room as I have had to pull people from the water in the past...
  20. other then what's been posted, a map of the lake I am on (if in my boat; as I hope if I am in another person boat they know the area) so I know where I can go if the weather turns nasty.
  21. D'OH! I wonder if there is a blackberry version?
  22. Dan, there are no pike in "the Bog" Add the MNR tips number to your cell phone and report it if the person doesn't listen. It's what I do now...
  23. Ya see, I have never fished there NOR do I know the area. I figured if I asked what I did then maybe someone would offer some good info to help out. After all, the post had zero replies vs. what was read so I guessed if I posted a reply and bumped it to the top it might get a decent reply... But who am I to judge...
  24. Where? Can you post something like 407 & 48 to give others an idea to help out?
