  1. If you want to get some perch to "pass the time" then find what is called "blueberry hill" and fish close to it. If you know any of the "Stewart's" up there then tag olong with my uncle's/cousins... Geoff W
  2. damn, another 11.5" fish, ARRGGHH!!! Can we make it a total LB limit and not a 5 fish limit? "OK, we have 10 fishing min. left and need 11 LBS, do you have a honey hole here to try?" what do you mean you left the net on the dock?!?!?!
  3. Jay, that's a great boat and a great report. Trust me, snot rocket after rocket vs. "the skunk"? ya, I think I know what your answer is so it looks like a great 13 days. Cheers.

thanks again for all the tips folks! Yes, I was a sucker and went to LeBaron again today and got a bobbin and a few other odd's and end's but the guy there was great. He told me that I didn't need those extra tools/toys as well for what I was going to "start" doing. Even a customer spoke up and showed me what I need and don't need and told me a few tricks. Who would of thought that the shiny stuff you toss in a kids easter basket as fill would make a good flash on a ripping-jig? I didn't but he did and told me where to get decent size bags for very little $ too So, when I get a few done I'll post them in this thread but please keep the ideas and so on coming! *thinks, oh no, I've gone to LeBaron 3 times in 5 days and still need to go back again Friday for 1 last item; this is going to get bad.... HAHA
  7. check your PM then and good luck with Al.
  8. is Brooklin to far out of the way?

thanks muddler for the names of the tools, cheers. thank you all for the replies. the bad news is LeBarons is so close to my office I've been 2 times in the last 4 days...
  10. Hey all. So I've got this itch (no GCD, not that kind of itch ) to start tying up some jigs and I don't know where to start. I know that there is a ton to read, see and watch on how to's but what I want to know is this. What are the basic tools I will need to get started AND where in the GTA/Durham area can I get it at a good price? Thanks in advance. Geoff
  11. just watch out for the "floating yellow minnow bucket" the next day... Dave's got the goods, the skill and the right way to talk to people on his show so maybe Basserone was using it under a bobber 10'away from where he was fishing so that's why it wasn't working? *insert Garry2r's gring here*
  12. me too. now if I was at the circus and wrestling with said bear and it did that then it would get a good swift kick to the groin... ahhh the good old good swift kick to the groin... works every time...
  13. welcome to the site, enjoy. I'm sure others are going to tell you this, we like "fish porn" often...
  14. so you posting "TONY" on the site for sale? I'm sure some OFC'er that is stuck on land right now would be happy to give it a good home.
  15. nice buy, I hope you all get many great years out of it.
  16. Wow, very cool way to recycle and a good way to mess with the others around you. as they ask what's that smell you can blame it on someone lunch in the microwave.
  17. I love these dogs, great looking pup's for sure! Here is Sierra, she doesn't care for the water but love looking at it.
  18. they are even having an event at Toogoopond in Unionville (HWY 7 and Kennedy area) and it's not far at all. Lot's of shore spots there too.
  19. Ciceri, I'm going to LeBaron on Sat, need anything picked up? I'm in Whitby and passing through Port Perry the following weekend. You could get a 6'6" or 7' rod and mount a PVC tube on the bike so the rod sticks up like a flag off the back end. you just tilt it back a bit so it looks cooler...
  20. HAHAHA, nixt time toss it back out in search of that BIG pike... I have a bunch of top water baits but I just love my jitterbug's at dusk and when dark. If I tell you more, it won't be as fun for you...
  21. I too have 2 of these and for what I do, they are great. Rod alone, $20, as a combo $50. I also have 2 Ugly Sticks and they are now sitting in the basement since I got the Shimano Stimula rod's. Just my 2 cents...
  22. Welcome to the site Mike D, any time you want to hop in a 14' tinny with a 8HP Honda on the back at Four Mile Lake you let me know. Hey if I take the 17'6" with the 115HP on the back I think we would have issues as the lake has HUGE rocks. Any time, I'm game though to get out (and a few others here on this board on the same lake I'm sure would show up too) so feel free to contact me (PM). The DVD ad's need some work but all in all, the show is great, keep on doing what you are doing. Cheers Mike D "and you get respect" Geoff
  23. Good to hear (about the boat) And being a father of a 5 and 2 year old the best thing that you can do to "pay him back" is treat your dad with respect as he is giving you a whole lot of respect by providing you with these things. Enjoy and may your next fish be a trophy...
  24. Gebus! nice catch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
