  1. the head bonk works well. I do a few good solid bonks just to make sure. I can see bleading out being a good way for big fish but all others you can bonk then blead out. If I keep a fish overnight, I did keep them on a stringer but a large cage tied under the dock works WELL. you get to keep your catch rather then another fish or animal getting a meal...
  2. See, this is why Cliff is going to pay BIG BUCKS! Oh that and it's damn heavy to carry around while fishing....
  3. you now know why it's called "shore lunch"
  4. toss it back in the lake is by far the best thing to do.
  5. we could play a game of trade-ya, you trade me some cash and I'll trade you some lures...

    oh ya

Does the MRS know about this? HEHEHE
  7. Terry, I was Told by Joe (HH) that I must go this year but there is NO WAY I will stay at a resort that ask's for your cash and doesn't give a "mouse's" xxx about you other then when it's time to pay. I can deal with the vermon, not an issue, but the operators are an issue when I spend my hard earned $$ to be there...
  8. Joe told me about the "bum slide" down the dock, HAHAHAHA Sorry Shaun, but there are a LOT here that think otherwise...
  9. so much to say but can't find the words...

    RANT!!!!

most people say things like that to you Paul because they don't have a clue what to say and they feel it's a conversation starter. me on the other hand, I would say "is your a/c broke, cause it's hotter the hell in here" and give you a grin... on the bright side, I don't have to sit with you on the GO train...
  11. First time I have seen that, BUT HELL YEAH!
  12. Keeping the garden all bushy is so 70's. wait, we talking something else?
  13. I was fishing with CCMT the other day and we had both seen a lure on the bottom of the lake and figured one of three things. Line broke during a cast, line broke do to a fish and the either it shook it out or it did rust out. Now that I think of it, I'll see if I can get it out of the lake this weekend and have a look... Like it was said (above) that as long as it's mouth isn't hooked shut to stop it from feeding it will be fine.
  14. Okay, you talked me into it... LOL I will review all that I have this weekend, take pic's of batches and post. The problem I know I will have is finding a fair price for me and the buyer... Anyone going to be near my folks cottage (4 Mile) and want a preview this weekend? HAHA
  15. Okay, time to review this weekend and decide. If I do decide to purge some gear I will post a link to it here too (this topic). Only on OFC of course...
  16. Hey all. I know headhunters thoughts on this but I want to know what the core group thins of this. I have enough lures to choke a whale and a lot of it I don't use anymore now that I fish for walleye and not so much for bass. Is it worth the effort to take all these pic's, review the prices of the lures and sell them or just keep them for the "just in case I decide to fish for ... soon"? I mean, that the soft side main bag is over 25LB's now and the other travel bags and getting up there too. Maybe I'm thinking of this as a way to purge to get more toys like a gas auger or something else, I duno. I have so much and I feel it's going to waste just sitting there when maybe someone else can make good use of it. Your thoughts? Thanks. Geoff
  17. I'm going up to 4 mile lake for some fishing, wakeboarding and tubeing with my wife and kids. If you want to, go talk to my sister at her shop in Barrie and she can tell you how to get there. Just look at the day CCMT and I had the other day... PM me if you want to know where he shop is in Barrie.
  18. Yeah, I hear ya. I had the same problem there 2 weeks ago... But at least you got out...
  19. Looks like both days were good for you. Nice fish too.
  20. Where the heck have you been? LOL
  21. edit due to double post... also, dinner went quick as everyone around wanted the smoked walleye and perch...
  22. LOL, I fugured you got that comment. As for the perch, it was HUGE!!!!! Again it was a great day and I had a great day.
  23. Any time man, any time. And there is another OFC'er who's around the corner from you that we can bring too. Thanks for the great time today. PS, the smoker is going on tomorrow for that walleye and that jumbo perch, muuhahahaha
  24. Well since you asked... The morning was a tough time trying to land some fish We drifted all the way up the lake and were only getting a few bites here and there but not able to land one. After a while we tried a few places and we were finding fish only to have them spit the hooks on us so I had a look at my lure and found out I had a blunt spot not a point from a minor snag So after I fixed that we ended up boating a fish Then after a double-header (and both spit the hook) we decided we were jinxed and moved again. A few more fish here and there and all and all it was a great day of fishing and talking. We almost hit the grandslam, we go bass, walleye, JUMBO perch and a sunfish, just no musky... Thanks for the great day on the water CCMT and like I said, you can come fishing in my boat any time.
  25. DAMN, YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD! yes, I did mean the CAPS...
