  1. In a year in rural ER's, I'd guess we see as many fishing related injuries as we do hockey. Seriously... Glad she's OK Matt. And yes, it has to be tough being a hockey parent as there are so many hockey parents out there one might have to wrap their head around.
  2. Those doods do quack me up.
  3. POSSESSED BY THE GREY. Arrived to Lake Lakerstone Lake. Off-loaded zeee quads, got riding. A stiff, cold wind did blow. I was quick into a warm Clam. Had a fishy hunch, my fingers and toes crossed. They did not make for a long wait... long. First came a goodun’. GLORY!!! GLORY!!! But suddenly a blinding flash!!! Then cast into a darkness... and a new dimension. Evil set in. Upon frozen white. A Wizard from inside a nearby lair stirred. I called out. "FISH ON!" he summoned... Boot-scoot boogied to him. Waving a magic wand he had awoken a demon laketrout from Middle Earth. Vile, defiant... and greasy. Nearing the portal, dorsal fin hooked. No way to head, no way to tail. Five pounder... (give or take five pounds) GONE!!! Vile, defiant... greasy. The loob toobs are bad, and winning. They could see into my soul now. Fighting back, one laker, then another. Midget Mackinaw Mayhem!!! Too many, too cold, too angry... The darkside taking over. By the Rod of St. Croix. Strength of Mitchell. Power of Pro! and stealth of Drennan. Defeated by the evil Greys was I was. Now possessed. Imprisoned. Years come to pass... new days dawn. At times the walls of the laker prison did whisper... "One drop of our drool will free you, you fool." Rock hammer, poster, Bible, time, pressure... and hope. Do the math Andy. Drool. Could feel my senses returning. The Force. More laker drool. Road trips... Bike or hike. Drill ice... Repeat. Gotta git me some drool!!! With every vile, defiant, greaser slayed... By the Power of many GreySkulls. Trap Jaw Mackinaw, Beastor, MerMan, Skelakor... Comin' fo' yaz!!! I have the power. "WHO IS YOUR GREY LEADER?" I demand to know. "Defeated Grey Lake Trout Mackinaw speak to me!!!" ... "you seek at eighty fathoms, Ahura... and Angra... the twins..." (sigh... then death) (whistle tweet tweet) Trusty steed speed arrives. Hi-Ho Outlander... AWAY!!! AHURA!!! Militant Mackinaw Scumlord. Gunned down. ANGRA!!! Psycho Killaker... (qu' est-ce que c'est?) Death by hanging. Bunk... Returned to Lake Lakerstone Lake... still possessed but not as bad. Purple Heart for bravery and a world of colour again. Unlimited scotch and beef jerky for life! ... and all the free and easy women a Champion could ever want. The End.
  4. Lacking a few fish, the pics still did that winter wonderland some justice. Fun playing over the weekend... and yes, the Trapper Bravo is the most stylin' and reliable of all machines.
  5. Good fishing Trouty. Icing lakers is a new favorite pasttime.
  6. Don't think it'd be either Roy....? Have seen what likely is the video, and it wasn't those lads. MO... you gotta watch your P's and Q's in this house. Just the way it is.
  7. Just finished it. Time to renew... or not..? The article on Henry was interesting. Fins & Skins, not me... but Fishing the Flats I'll enjoy from time to time. He's done well to continue on in the industry, whether liked or not, he does have determination.
  8. Agreed. You must have been using these things along time Jacques because you sure like them and can certainly make them? I can imagine where you can have 5 lines down they would be great because they're easily visible and likely effective. Only started ice fishing about 10 years ago and pretty well missed the generation which would primarily use such a thing. Although... did for a few years have a couple "Pikeslayerinators," that were called to action. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a154/Bunx/kesagami07-h1.jpg Anyways... some handy work there dood.
  9. And why would you ever want to disable 20,000 internet anglers from knowing where you caught your fish??? I just don't get that. lol. j/k Can't help ya mang. Have still NEVER texted one text in my life... let alone figured out how my phone will take a pic or make a text. lol.
  10. That's just a shizzle tonne of hiking aboot Bri. My Gawd, get Quad!!! lol. Seriously though, it'll keep ya fit chasing lakers with that go' get 'em attitude. Solid fish for ya. So it's Adam Sinclair is it... hmmmph! Dood still seems a little nuts to me, so I'm not convinced by your word. lol. Will have to meet the both of ya's someday to make a final decision on ya both. lol.
  11. Needs at least a 50 tiller... but otherwise pretty stylin'. lol.
  12. Beautiful job Garry. I like that. Both the finished rod and the seat. Solid work dood!
  13. Have the same auger and like it too. Once ice is greater than 18 inches or so, the Jiffy comes out. Otherwise, I'm fine drilling 20-30 holes a day with the FinnBore III. Overall, an OK day of pannies for ya. They made you and Jer work though.
  14. Bring on many more outings for you and the kid! Good start Rob.
  15. Great job dood! LIght light gear for some real quality trout. Thanks for reporting.
  16. 62 FENDER PRECISION BASS. Poppitty Pop Pop... BOOM BOOM!!! Chubby Checker "Do The Twist!!!" Number 1 in 62.
  17. It's funny but, every hole I've ever fished, has likely been fished before me. But I'll still try and protect what I believe to be "my" honey hole. lol. Who needs TV anyways... the best shows are alive right here, online, with OFC. Boooyah!!!
  18. Fine lakers for your big effort Steve.
  19. Great pics Simon. That's some kinda winter you're getting to enjoy. Fine walleye too.
  20. Awesome! The work in the head is really impressive. They are "Advanced" Taxidermy for a reason. Was happy with my speckled trout too... and looking forward to having them do the wife's Arctic char one day.
  21. 29 pound goldfish!
  22. 101 pages... first post here. Listening to this.. and alot lately too. Great concert a few months back.
  23. Stevie Zebco and I just lit the tent on fire one time. That got it warm for awhile... ... but then when the -37C windchill and whiteout snowstorm came overnight it got really sucky. Come morning I look over at Steve sleeping in his Canada Goose parka and the dood's got a stalagmite of snow on his chest which came through the hole in the roof. Black Cat... Sport Cats... Not good enough. Buddy Heaters probably better. Go with two of everything or an easy escape plan. lol.
  24. Shiver pooing sucks. I'm with Bill and have never had to go while on the ice, just late late fall... cause when it's below zero I'm pretty sure the hole freezes over.
  25. Yeah... but terrible is still good if it's fishing. lol.
