  1. IF you want you can send me 2900 bucks....that way your money that you send away will stay in Ontario... Definitly a scam....cant see it any other way
  2. Rain sucks, but thats why we have rain suits. Here, if we plan on going fishing we go. If we wait for a sunny day...who knows when that will be, so, we go. Thunder?Lightening....if 14footer is on plan faster than the lightening. As for fishing, cant say i notice a difference. We mainly use spinner rigs with bottom bouncers, and jig the odd time, and its usually the same, sometimes even better when its raining. Cant say too much about the water clarity here...i dont think it changes to much for me to comment on that
  3. HAHAHAHAHAHA OMG! I know what you mean, last year on a camping trip i told the other boat operator who didnt know the lake....stay in the middle of the lake because of rocks...yeah yeah.....WHAM smashed the scag, not once but twice on rocks...not bad if truck is close by, but 2'15hours away...err....plus the other guy decided it would be good to throw a gerry can on the fire to try to get a fire going.....ERRRRR....people who suck....dont realize until they are out there that they are full of it!
  4. those were my thoughts exactly....if i know i will do damage to a fish that i am intending to release, i cut the line as close as i can and hope for the best
  5. Awsome report! Makes me want to leave my little corner of heaven to come to yours (only for a bit...lol)! Awsome fish....Congrats
  6. Salmon fishing in the great lakes....I am yet to find a species that fights so hard and powerful than Chinook. The gear you use for them and the power they have to handle you like we are jello gets my heart pumping everytime. There is nothing more than seeing that rod pop out of the downrigger, seeing your rod double over while yor reel is screaming that sweet sound, and not knowing how big of fish you have on the end. It says something when you saw "oh, just a small one...about 10lbs or so....LOL....I LOVE IT!!!!!!

    JOBS

Hey, Well, in all my 26 years i have learned one thing to pass on to you. Go West My Son, Go West! LOL......seriously...lol again. Ok, well im a GIS technician and I love it, great hours and am able to have lots of time to hunt and fish. I did at one point work for Fisheries and Oceans Canada, doing Sea Lamprey Control...litterally the greatest job in the world, but hard on family life. If you are looing for a career change, get into a trade...they are in such high demand right now and will be for quite some time, that you will be able to set yourself up good, but dont count school out yet, you are young, as i am still (kind of). I am always thinking about going back to school....its never a bad idea!! The future well, who knows, just trying to get through each day with a smile! Forza Azzurri Cheers
  8. Congrats! You will love it for many years to come. You dont have to service it for, is it three years, plus it winterizes itself? Definityl the cadillac of motors. Congrats
  9. Pretty cool. It will probably work for a while then lose its luster
  10. Nice Fish!! First thing i noticed was the black jaw. Solid catch...we wont catch em till August late July here
  11. that was my guess to....Emerald Shiner....if you google it you will find some images that would clarify that
  12. hahahahahahaqhahahahaha That is great...I want to do that everytime i go to fill up my truck
  13. The 15hp is not that heavy actually...its an older johnson with a carrying handle just under the head of the engine. And the last portage there are 2 wheelbarrows that on lodge put there to help transfer the gear for ther clients
  14. Hey all, I have been using a 15hp motor on a 14 foot motor boat for many years now and have not had an issue with it being under powered. I have had it on Lake Superior in rough water and had it back lakes. A great set up. What i am wondering is...in a few weeks I am going on a camping trip that will require about 2 hours of boat driving...two portages, 1 being short (75 ft), and the other one being about 500 meters. We have done this trip many times before with the 15 hp. What i am concerned about is that we are going with 5 guys, 2 in my boat, and three in the other and i will end up having to take lots of the gear. Would a 25hp be overkill for the boat? I know the 15hp will get me in there, just it willl burn a lot of gas Any thoughts?
  15. I dont know about that...the puck found Malone's face all night...ouch! Malkin....well....he is creating more turnovers than Tim Hortons's. The wings wont lose 3 in a row...the Pens are just delaying the inevitable
  16. There is a product we get across the river in Sault Michigan. Has over 90% deet. Dont need much of that stuff and works awsome. I heard that bugs are attracted to bananas? Anyone else heard of this??
  17. Congrats...Nice haul on the 26
  18. Dont know if this helps but this is a picture of my grandmother and my cousin with his first ever fish.

  20. Lucky Strike 1 1/2 Victor Spinner....catches anything from Walleye, Pike, Bass, and all Trout....its my Go To Lure
  21. The only man who actually reinvented a position....Bobby Orr. Right from a kid, he was my hero....i would love to actually meet him and wet a line with him. Would be a dream come true
  22. That actually made my eyes water a little. I truly hope he makes a cut soon and continues to do so. As it was said already...makes you put life into perspective. I did like what his brother said at the end about what he would want most in life. What we would all probably say, would be the last thing he wants. Simply amazing
  23. Have a great trip. Just a tip....pack warm....it snowed here today and we have a frost warning for tonihgt.
  24. We have two 14' silvery grey aluminum boats. We named one the grey goose, and the other the silver bullet. Not very original but appropriate none the less
  25. We get them around Wawa...there are a few lakes and rivers that the odds of catching one are quite good. Still really cool to see
