  1. I have 80# Power Pro on all my Musky Rods - been using that for years now. Never had a problem with it.
  2. We'll be in a blue Tracker with a black 90 on the back. Probably the only boat around with a yellow lab and an Airedale Terrier on board. Best of luck to ya.
  3. When you gonna be up there in Sept ? We're at Wolseley Lodge for a week - arriving the 8th
  4. I think the rate is somewhere around $250.00 for the week (Pending reliability of my memory). There is an old one clear at the back, along the back roadway, which the summer help had used for a while. The tent has been removed - and not used anymore (not that I am aware of anyway). Still like that tent idea, but I wonder how hot it gets in there during the hot days of summer.
  5. We checked it out when we were up in June. Pretty cool. Lots of room for our two dogs. might be fun to stay there for a bit
  6. Beautiful County ... Wishin' I was there.
  7. Really, really, really great report and it sure looks like the young ones had a great time. Thanks for sharing
  8. He sure had a great time and cathing fish is all the better. I too remember the year Dawson was up for the OFC GTG. A number of folks gave their prices from the table to Dawson and that boy was in heaven with all the stuff he got. Truely a memorable moment. Thanks for posting Marty and give our high-fives to Dawson on a great trip.
  9. We've fished the Rideau, right there at Rideau Ferry, not far from Murphy's point. For Large mouth, we typically just wind drift across the weed beds. The area around Rideau Ferry is not all that deep and we have weeds just about everywhere. Rubber worm and a 1/8 oz weight and just jig as we move across the weeds. Typically have good luck with this approach. There are some rocky shoals around and great for smallies - and we have caught some nice sized ones. Large/Small, we can get some in the 3-5 pound range. Don't forget some topwaters. Early am and late evening, we have a blast with them over the weeds. We were on the Rideau last September and brought a couple nice sized one back for some fresh fish.
  10. Gettin' younger each day my friend. Hope ya have a great one.
  11. Me three ... couldn't resist.
  12. Now don't you go catching it ... just PM me the coordinates where she is, since I won't be back up there until June of next year. I'll take care of business then. Oh yeah - Best of luck on any other species you choose to fish for.
  13. Just don't catch my 50+ .... she's still out there somewhere.
  14. I currently have the 2010 pro guide v175. So far, I've had no issues or Problems with it. This is my 3rd tracker and never had a problem with the boat itself. The only problem I,ve had us with the trailer tires. The ones that came with it, had unusual wear problems - not due to over/under inflation. Took a lot of phone calls and e-mails for tracker to finically admit a mfg defect and replace the tires. The side guides are pretty cheap and I may look to get something better. I looked at the new Targas 18' , but was really disappointed in the front casting deck. Too me, it is way too small. So far, I am satisfied with the boat. Also upgraded to. A 4-stroke merc. I've heard of others having structural problems with trackers - so far, I have not.
  15. That's a great one. Congrats
  16. Same here. I just let it on. Never had a problem.
  17. Really don't understand all this wishful thinking about catching musky. I already caught them. Guess you'll have to settle for pike stew
  18. Beauty ... but there just has to be a bigger one out there.
  19. Great report and it looks like ya had a great time with the bass fishing. The silver pike are interesting - caught one myself a couple years back. Love the panoramic shots - really great.
  20. Lookin' good Scooter. It's only been a few weeks and I already miss her
  21. Can't say I had a favorite color, but I would troll for pike when we fished the Rideau system and had great success with them over the weeds.
  22. I sure hope things pick up, and they should, for September. I'll be fishing the same area one of those weeks out of Wolseley Lodge. We've been skunked on muskies up there quite often, but we keep on coming back and will do so as long as we are able. Had a real good trip to the West Arm a couple weeks ago landing two muskies and lost a third. So, hopefully the bite is still on for ya WB. Post some of those "BIG FISH" pics when ya get back. The Double Cowgirl has been my go-to bait for muskies the past couple years and so far, it's paying off. Got a few more on order right now from Rollie and Helens. Should have them in a week or two.
  23. It's not just up there - I see the same thing down here. Even garbage setting right next to a trash container. People just too lazy and don't care.
  24. Brighter days ahead my friend.
