Yup Great Post. The other thing I use are landing gloves. Not sure if others use them or not, but I do find them much easier when lifting the fish from the net. Hopefully to avoid dropping the fish as I maneuver her out of the net for a pic - and she decides to thrash around a bit.

I just have an open-face spinning reel with a 7' rod. Spooled with 80# Power-Pro and an 18" Flouro leader. I use 18" or 24" length. Probably a shade over $100.00 for Rod and Reel. I have 6 rods rigged basicaly the same.

That would be cool to see some fish from the "Land Down Under" I watched a couple of "RIVER MONSTER" shows that were taped down there.

All's well around my neck of the woods. Some local flooding, which was do be expected. No loss of power for me. I wonder how Art and Joe's families are faring ... all safe and sound I hope.
