I'm draining and cleaning out the water tank , Lime scale is crusted on the element, does anyone know if you can clean the element off and reuse it or is it toasted. Thx in advance.

I use a digger achor I got from bass pro I think they are around $70 or $80. Been using it in the ohio river for years in pretty swift current and wind , it spring loaded so if you get it snagged up it unloadeds and pulls out easily.

My old stradic had a wooden handle too but it now lays at the bottom of the ohio river, thasnks to a very large fish hitting my chicken liver and launching it outa the boat, went about 8 or 10 feet before it hit the water, I about cried it was the first really nice rod and reel I ever bought
