I haven't seen anything about it and was wondering if the number of people coming up to vacation was down much. I has affected my group with gas and the falling U.S. dollar, didn't make it last year and this year doesn't look good either.
I'm going to attempt to replace my water pump on my 94 25 hsp mercury, anyone have any tips on this job to make it easier. I've never done one before ,I know you take the lower unit off but thats the extent of my knowledge
What I did was get the 4x8 sheets of insulation from Lowe's and cut it to size then I wrapped the pieces with wide clear packing tape, it took a bit of time but that was several years ago and I pulled the back flooring section up the other day and it wasn't water logged at all.
Thx again. I'll be fishin an Ohio state park called saltfork it's the nearest musky waters to me except for a small river (little muskingum river) but I don't have a canoe or small boat to fish it. There's alot of musky in saltfork and some low to mid forty fish were taken last year,(thats inches not lbs) sad to say people seem to keep alot of what they catch there. I'll keep you guy's posted and if my daughter lets me use her camera and she posts them for me I'll show you guy's if I get lucky and catch one.
Ok thx again guys. I went to cabela's and got some lures (storm soft plastics and a jointed 9 inch believer) and a Cabela's extra large storm proof tackle bag. Now I can't afford gas to go to the lake
Do you down size baits in early spring or not? What's a good bait.I'm in southern ohio if that makes a difference the waters in the mid 60's now. I'm just getting into musky fishin so any help is appreciated.
I'm trying to figure out the best ways to run the line that releases the trolling plate, into the boat and keep it outa the way any ideas. I tried running up over the engine thru a piece of rubber hose. I had the hose achored to the cowling with self sticking wire thingies (not really sure what there called) but that didn't work they pulled off the first time I yanked on the cable ideas appreciated.
I've been using my brothers 17' tracker targa for the last year it's seem's to be a solid boat but I think they couldn't done a better job designing the floor plan. The throttle is set back to far or the seat is set foward to far and there's set up for four seats but there's no way you could fit four people in them comfortably and the seats on the drivers side will not spin all the way around ,they hit the side of the boat. It's plenty roomy to fish out of and the 90 hp 2 stroke gets it goin about 4o mph or so. I really can't complain seeing it's a free ride for now.
