How could you not know how to use it ? lol! I've taken 2 apart that didn't work. They haven't been very reliable, in the cold.

Good to keep the kids entertained on a clear lake through the ice, on some dark lakes or deeper water you can't see anything.

Stay away from buddy heaters, I've had a couple over the years and nothing but problems with them. I've had several days that they won't work in the cold around -25 even after keeping them in the house with the tank before leaving to the lake. The one I have now is possessed and the flame some times bursts up and looks like its about to explode. Never again!!!

Would depend on how much you retrack the thread there old fella. ^^^^^^ Small towns can be very bad, some of the people I have hopping/walking by my place on the main highway is scary. Cameras can help for sure. Just going in our small town, and many others it is a mess, nevermind the cities. We all have our share but like others have said it is growing like crazy. Keep your vehicles locked and windows up, keep the house locked up with windows locked. All you can do. I heard a few times now about people cutting screens open on house windows and people waking up to find someone in their house. Things are changing, but it is a mess.

Bell expressvu rant! - No more WFN! Sort of NF!

I believe bell owns the lines and rents them to the other companies. When I have an issue with my internet, bell has to come and I don't even have any bell services! -
Suggestions about Oil Pressure on a 2004 4X4 Silverado
canoecarrier replied to jimmer's topic in General Discussion
I had an oil pressure issue also, when the engine would get hot the light would start blinking. It was a good feeling when you were way out in the bush lol ! I took it to a dealer, and they basically told to me to get rid of it. With 350,000 on it, and problems piling up , that is a money pit. Get rid of it before you put more money into it and then buying a new vehicle anyway because it left you stranded, both in your wallet and on the side of the road!! Run while you still can !! -
Gorgeous fish! You are a good man for putting that fish back. She is even looking at the camera for the picture! haha!

I disagree with senkos being easy to catch fish on, using a live worm you could easily out fish a senko with no comparison. Sure you get some bites with senkos, but how many actually get hooked in ratio? There's a few different ways to hook a senko, and some of them make it harder to hook fish then others. I've seen rookies fish with senkos, they just get pissed off because they cant catch a fish!! There are some tricks to them for sure!

I think your response is a little much, just like many of your out of this world posts. You seem to use this forum to vent on other people. I believe it is snagging, but if you didn't know why wouldn't you ask someone that does? Much better then going and doing it with out asking. I would call the MNR and ask them, as in matters like this you should ask the authorities, instead of listening to someones opinions.

This is something that needed to happen, no littering signs would not make a difference. These people do not respect the land or their privileges, and will continue to abuse their right. The white bucket brigade is down there everyday, full families of them. They leave all their trash, and keep whatever fish can be grinded up, into fish patties. Do you know many locals that do that?? I don't, know any that do.

Stay on the main trail, I know a guy that flipped his bike out on a rough trail in the bush. Broke his back and had to get air lifted out of there. Have heard of another one like that were it took the cops and fire fighters about 7 hours to find the injured person. Be very careful out there, only takes one mistake.

They aren't kidding, that lake is very slow now. You might find a couple of pike if you are lucky, but you really have to find the fish there.

If you look on the reviews for the site, almost all of them say you will get scammed. Probably not a good sign, it is tempting though, very cheap for sure. Some of the reviews even said they went as far as stealing personal information, many have lost money off that site, check out the reviews before you decide to buy anything on there.

About 2 years back or so, I had an older ford escape. I took it into Jilesons auto close to Omemee, they said they changed the thermostat, but they stripped a bolt on the thermostat housing itself and broke it, essentially made it so it wouldn't open or close properly. They charged me $300 and they did absolutely nothing to my vehicle other then break it more. We figured that our the hard way when we did it all in the driveway ourselves.Replaced both the thermostat and the housing in the driveway. They had it for a week and it wasn't done by Friday at 2pm in the afternoon, same day later on they called and said come pick it up, it's ready. Not sure what you do about something like that? Still have to make a google review, how do you deal with a crooked mechanic?

Very very busy lake, lived on the lake for many years. Fishing is slow and the boat traffic is just crazy now. Put it this way, the last time I went there, I had a guy on a sea doo do circles around me in the middle of the lake in a canoe. If I got a hold of him it wouldn't have been pretty, too bad I didn't call in for that one. If you are driving 3 hours from Ajax, I urge you to look maybe in huntsville/haliburton direction where the fishing will be much better.

I once dropped my Iphone5 (with lifeproof case on) right into the middle hole while ice fishing. I was watching it slowly flutter down, Threw my arm in up to my shoulder and I got her !! Still works to this day, this was 2 years ago now. I've dropped it on the ground countless times, never an issue.

Like others have said, couldn't even make it through the video, just terrible. Would be hard not to snap on that guy... haha he should have started cleaning the fish right there, would have been funny !

A new one cost 38 bucks now !!!! 38 bucks for a damn plate !!!

Not sure what everyone is talking about, I was there last year. Its very expensive just like most other shows if not more. Not many deals at all, if that's what you are looking for.

Everytime I go to TSC (Lindsay) looking for something I walk out pissed off, alot of the time you can't even find an employee and when you do, they have no idea and try to go ask someone else. I will never go back, save yourselves the trouble and frustration. Peterborough is just as bad.

HVAC guys, some help please NF (Update)
canoecarrier replied to Big Cliff's topic in General Discussion
I recommend Better Mechanical, they are very good and I have been dealing with them for years. -
I wouldn't recommend it, I went through a few of those cheap pop ups. The Sherpa was the last one I returned before I took the hit and bought an insulated pop up. Wait for a sale to come on and snag a good one up.

I took a picture when I got there of the Rv, the guy came out at 6 in the morning while I was loaded up and tried to give me a hard time. I let him know what I thought of him and his mess and camping beside the boat launch. People like him ruin it for everyone, was talking to the locals and they were blown away. Won't last long until they put signs up and limit access like other lakes in the area.

Is this legal? Is there a certain amount of distance you need to be ? Recently had an issue with an RV being parked about 20 feet from the launch, with a fire pit about 2 ft from the launch and 2 ft from the water. Boat in the launch, Chairs all over the place . There is some crown land around the lake, can he use that as an excuse? Any help is appreciated thanks in advance!
