Looks good Cliff! You can probably incorporate a battery shelf on that rig too. Just be sure not to store you battery on the concrete floor. Was that annoying neighbour and his wife hanging over your shoulder telling you what tools to use and where to get them? -Brian

Roy, I believe the CCG/DOT approved float jacket or suit is recognized as an acceptable PFD. There were changes made in Canadian law a few (maybe 10) years ago to promote wearability (colour choices and comfort level) and the sacrifice was self-righting bouyancy that the old-school life vests provided. Newer style PFD's often exceed the minimum bouyancy standard but you have to be concious to get your head out of the water. Pete will no doubt have the definitive answer on this. If you have a float coat or suit that is not approved by CCG/DOT you had better make sure your PFD fits properly over it. -Brian

Thanks John, I'll keep that in mind! I'll let you know next Saturday in person over a couple frosty mugs! That sounds great Lew but how do we get rid of Squid? Just kidding Pete! This might be an option Lew, you know I want to but that weekend is iffy for me. I was planning on LSC before the swill on Dec. 1st but if weather keeps me ashore I might just head out Dec. 8 instead. Having spoke with Kevin at Merlands on the phone I know he wants to make ammends and have us back again. I'd rather his efforts be focused on making us all happy but I can appreciate how you arrived at that thought. -Brian

That's great guys, I really appreciate it and welcome to the board deepdiver! I'm in Mississauga every night during the week with my truck - hooking up shouldn't be much of an issue. Kevin at Merlands has already put it aside for me in the garage. I'll PM both of you with my contact information. -Brian

Is anybody heading to Quinte or Merland Park in the near future? I forgot my bow support for the boat cover at the BOQ G2G and Merland Park is about a four and half hour drive for me. If someone is able to pick it up for me and meet me between London and the Mississauga/Brampton area (nightly) or the Barrie area December 22-23 or the Fishing for Tyler G2G in February or maybe even Lakair in June... it would be much appreciated!! -Brian

Wayne, give Greg a call - he uses them for ice charters and would probably be happy to give you the good/bad and ugly on them. Keep in mind Argo is one of his sponsers. http://www.profishntanglingservices.com/#C...t%20Information

I have to take some or all of the blame for the docking fiasco. I was in Gerritt's spot that night and had gone into town to get gas when the poop hit the fan. -Brian

For more information... http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12915 Terry from the Final Score asked me to call a week in advance with some numbers. Please post or PM me if you are coming and if you will be bringing guests. The more the merrier, we just want to have enough seating resereved. -Brian Slowpoke & Mrs. Slowpoke jjcanoe & maybe Mrs. jjcanoe muskiestudd garyv (depending on weather and health) Woodsman JohnF (depending on weather) fishless Vanselena Canuck2fan (maybe) fishandchips (maybe)

Interesting information. Short of a fish focus group, is there any way to test for visibility/invisibility? -Brian -

Ralph never takes a collect call, I spoke to him three times all at my expense. Did you know there was a phone on the east outside wall of the cabin too? I was making my way down to the slip-n-slide dock when I felt the need to call him again. -Brian

LOL!!! Good thing I kept my touque on! By the way, you seem a lot less French in person! Thanks again for your efforts with the potluck, it was an amazing spread and I just wish I could have sampled everything - as hard as I tried. Mike, it was truly a pleasure meeting you and I hope you can make it to Lakair to carry on the tradition...
