  1. In my opinion; you're not going to find too much difference in reels from $80-$120, they're all damn good! Some tend to balance a little better than others (less wobble when spinning) but you'll go out of your mind trying to determine the BEST $100 reel. I've always ended up with Shimano because I've never been disappointed and I can recommend the Symetre or Saros without hesitation.
  2. What a great game!!! Canada's complete domination reminds me of all the Leaf/Sens playoff games; outclassed from the drop of the first puck.
  3. Drywall, mud and tape and be done with it. Builders don't usually even bother painting. It'll tidy things up and won't be a deal breaker unfinished.
  4. I have a ton of ideas but don't know what you want to do in your garage. Storage? Hangout? Repairs? Your options are FRP (fiberglass reinforced plywood), Slatwall, Pegboard, Drywall, Plywood sheeting
  5. Anybody that has tried a Handlebarz lure can speak to its quality and effectiveness but your success in the past two years at Esox University has no doubt caught the attention of anglers outside our fishing circles. I suspect we're going to hear more and more about them in print, online and on television. The key to success will be through establishing credibility and name recognition. Big thumbs up for Mike! Thanks for posting, Ron.
  6. Wow, that's great Dan! When I first saw this post I thought maybe the Mrs had a bun in the oven
  7. "Rusty Monkey"? You might be thinking Brass Monkey but that's a good name too! Glad you had a good outing and some great pictures. I was going to go today but was just zapped from working over the weekend.
  8. Just for the record, I have all of Warran Bay and Musky Island on Navionics.
  9. Yep, they got into some slime too
  10. Nice day today. Broke-in a new muskie rod and reel on the third cast. Also nabbed a pike trolling. Both on Handlebarz Double 10 'blazin walleye' Two low 40" blowups on a red head super spook top water. Both hit and spit. My fishing partner for the day, 'mistaredone' landed one to chase off the skunk also. Another Handlebarz victim, Double 8 this time.
  11. He was in the boat, Cliff.... Geeesh!
  12. Leafs score a KO on a one on one bout. Next faceoff Sabre goon drops the gloves and goes after Kessel. Everybody on the ice squares off and Clarkson joins the melee from the bench. Goalies squared off, Miller got the worst of it.
  13. Worth a watch fer sure! QUOTE OF THE DAY: "If we don't put a stop to this fighting, we're going to have to build bigger rinks" - Harry Neale

As someone mentioned ,held him close till the linesman arrived.Who knows now what he'll get???

  15. Slooooow drift with a Lindy rig. Extremely light bite. My best results are the last hour before dark. Know your slot size.
  16. Check your messages
  17. Probably not until the water stiffens up a bit lol Hook up with Terry or kickenrob and make a trip down here. I owe Rob a fish, we go skunked and I made him shop at George's discount muskie warehouse last time he was down lol
  18. oh nevermind, he just sent a message lol
  19. I think someone is coming from Milton. He's read the PM but not confirmed. I'll ask if he's in or out and get back to you.
  20. Ahhh, boat math. I thought it was a Chuck Woolery reference.
  21. I'd agree. The vibration will likely shake it loose. Skeg repairs aren't horribly expensive or you can also instal a skeg guard. http://www.basspro.com/SkegShield-Skeg-Guard/product/10200068/
  22. It really depends on the boat. My boat is powered to 85% of its rating and I would really benefit from maxing out or beyond due to such a steep deadrise. Best I can do is 43.4mph because it's the equivalent of trying to keep a knife on plane. On the plus side, I can do 40+ in a 3' chop while sipping my coffee. As a rule of thumb, you're better off to max out and not need than to risk being underpowered. I didn't have an option when I bought mine because it was a non-current package deal. I can live with 43mph and keep $10k in my pocket.
  23. Your boat appeals to a limited market, much like your hockey team. Dan's boat is more appealing to a larger market and has key words such as Lund and Four Stroke. Dan's boat is also much less likely to disappoint him in the spring, unlike your hockey team.
  24. I understand SWMBO but what does "Make it two and two" mean?
  25. Possible maybe. I have the room...20'er, lots of seats, 12 rod holders (16 if I brought the downriggers!) but I only have one net. How will we handle the double and triple headers? Actually, with 8 rods in the water we would have to run the big boards and my planer mast is bent. I'll work on it tomorrow and follow up with you on the progress.
