  1. I've used a bow twice in my life and i think both times will stick with me forever. First I was at my uncles house and he had a compound bow sitting in the corner of his basement, arrows close by, dart board on the wall. I was about 10 or 12. I put an arrow right throught the dart board and wall and into the bathroom. Thank god no one was in there. Second I was at a buddies parents house and they had a target set up that was about the size of a bus. I missed it from about 50 feet and the arrow hit a rack handle about 200 feet behind the taget and split the handle of the rack right down the center and stuck there. I bet I could never do that again in a million years. As for liking to shoot bows..................
  2. proper rod, reel, line, leaders. even the smaller musky lures are on the larger side. patience and endurance are helpful to, you could have some long days.
  3. I got a 4 panel hard cover for my Ranger and it cost about 1000 as well. I got it through the auto parts source or what ever that store is called. As mentioned above though dose your tailgate lock because the panel locks up but all you have to do is open the tailgate and theres your stuff. Also what kind of gear do you have because if you have one piece rods they won't fit in the back anyways.
  4. Did ya see anyone else catching. I've been there a couple of times this year and didn't see much of anything happening. At least you had fun!
  5. lots of holes at bellwood you could reopen. i drilled about 40 the other day. there isn't any evedence of fish catching around any of them though.
  6. I was once told to never kick a man when he's down but do what ever it takes to get him there......... I think this applys if your not the instigater.
  7. I've caught a catfish with a nickle in its stomach. On the same day another one had a bunch of rocks in its stomach. Kinda wish I kept the nickle. Would have been a cool good luck charm.
  8. So if I understand correctly. If I have a boat with a motor I can drink all I want as long as I don't hit a canoe.
  9. they don't rent out the augers but they might drill holes for you if you rent a hut, but they would be near your hut.
  10. Bellwoods a pretty popular place to icefish. If you want to find out about ice conditions there you can call the conservation area. You can rent huts there to. I was thinkin of trying it out after xmas. Other places to try close to KW are Guelph lake, Puslinch (sp)?, Conestoga lake. I thinks these are all open for icefishing. I have never fished these myself though.
  11. some kinda worm or blood sucking animal. Pics kinda small.
  12. I don't know if i was looking at the right lake but isn't there some kind of road access off of highway 11. not sure what kind of shape it would be in.
  13. I thought mole also. Do you use worms in your composter. ( I think people use worms in them don't they?) If so i believe moles will eat them. Might be why there there.
  14. I've been right up to where O-PEE-CHEE dumps into Red Cedar many times and even in the spring you couldn't get a tinny up there, well I wouldn't try anyways. I had know idea there was a lodge up the creek though. How big is the lake the lodge is on.
  15. At least you got a few. I had something fall off my motor the last time I changed the cord. Luckily it was in the garage, I've made many quick repairs on the water. Me and the pull cord have issues. Anyways the if its the same part once the bolts are out and the motors all apart nothing holds this part on. It seems to be some kind of dampener??? When out turn the thotle back and forth theres a part the puches on it. I'm sure my description doesn't help at all. It did seem that the part wasn't that important in the running or starting. I have the same or similar motor so it could be that part thats not bolted down once you've removed the part that holds the pull cord.
  16. So half the fish swimming in a liter of water died. That's not that much water. Not saying the butts aren't bad but i have trouble keeping minnows alive in a bucket of water.
  17. i bought one pair about 5 or 6 years ago, which are now my garden boots. i just bought another. if its not cold enough outside your feet will sweat.
  18. it was open the weekend before thanks givin. i think the sign said it is open till later in the year. i'm willing to admit i'm wrong though if its not. the mind was a little fuzzy that weekend.
  19. Got mine at Auto Parts Source. They had a catalog you could go through and pick what ya need or want.
  20. Nice fish. I Caught a sturgen in the whirl pool last year on roe about that big. Took a long time to get up on a 10' noodle rod.
  21. Few weeks ago CO's had a road side check on the 35 south right where it merges with the 115. They stopped all traffic and asked if you had been hunting or fishing. I had my boat so I got to pull over and had to show my license and was ask what we were fishing for, then they searched the truck and boat for any fish we shouldn't have had. That was the first time I've ever had to show my license. We were all good and bacck on the road fast.
