hey those look kind of neat. anyone use them for lakers and whities ? .. looks like it jigs alot like the jiggin rap ? im sick of having fish get off the jiggin rap because of the single hook at each end . I like the idea of having 2 trebels on that .

I found it hard to pick up a running deer with a scope also so i have a red dot now ..

try strapping it to your running board.... or put it in a back pack ? figured you ment a power auger

i dont think any hut operators will be on the ice by dec 27th on simcoe. some people are starting to venture out but only on 3 inches of ice in certain spots ... the main lake is still wide open

Thats what we did to my dads sled .. not the greatest set up in the world but it works .. just 2 bolts on each side of the tunnel and one through the bar at the back so we have a box and an auger holder .

So after a long year and many hours in the bush it finally happend. The first 3/4 of the year i was hunting big bucks only with no luck so I figured the season is winding down so a doe will do ... I was on my way into my stand lastnight and spotted 2 does feeding along the standing corn in the field. I put and arrow in my compound bow and waited but they crossed the field, jumped the fence and into the bush .. I walked over to the fence and they had walked up the far side of the fence towards me and I was now staring at 2 does at 20 yards but it was too thick to shoot .... I backed out into the field again and went up the fence 20 feet or so and tried my luck again and yep they were still there and I had a 1 foot square hole to poke an arrow through but the deer were already past it but then the biggest doe stomped her foot and started coming back towards the hole to investigate what I was and when she hit the hole I whistled to stop her and let the carbon fly at 15 yards. I watched her go down within 40 yards and i was rewarded with a nice doe.

i had one just like that and it worked great on the ice ...

Im not shy ... i have kept a few trophy fish ... and one thing ive noticed is that their reproductive organs arent that good lookin anymore.. At fleming college they told us that every fish has an optimum age range that they will reproduce the best , so the old " torphy" fish dont reproduce like they once did... Hence the slot sizes on walleye and other species. And besides , If you were that big momma muskie and a little ( in that case even 15 pounder) male came swimmin up do you think she would think hmmmm spawn time or is she more apt to say mmmmmmm LUNCH !!!

Try an afternoon hunt ... most of the deer ive been seeing have been in the last hour of daylight. Seems they are hanging around the standing corn fields ....

look up pope and young on the web ... they have a page that shows you how to score a deer . .a 6 point would have to be massive to havea decent score, so i doubt that would even make the required 125 for p&y.. do you have any pics of the antlers ?

for tip ups on the bottom on simcoe hook them behind the anal opening in that clear part. keeps them flopping around for hours

My buddy has a diamond marquis and its a very quiet and fast bow.

cant say that i have ate carp but i was at my uncles in manitoba and he made us some " salmon" sandwiches and they were great .. Then after we were done he told us it was really sucker ... So sucker was good and i dont see why they would taste any different than carp

Gotta be a GPS . Can take me back to my same hole in the middle off butt %&$^ nowhere... It has also helped me come back to shore when the weather got so bad that i couldnt see 2 feet infront of the sled ..

do you really think they are going to shoot an animal illegally on tv ? different cultures eat diffferent foods so im sure when they harvest an elephant or a lion or a gator the meat does not go to waste.

notify the landowner and go get your buck !!! im pretty sure its law that they have to give you permission to track wounded game.

Did you see the arrow go in ? sounds to me that you hit low and just nicked him because i have never seen a deer go more than 100 yards when hit through the vitals .. even with 1 lung gone he is going to bleed into the other one and die so i dont think you got a lung.. Even with just a field point and a vital hit that deer would be dead. So either you just touched him enough to bleed or you have a dead deer in the bush right now ..
