  2. So this is basically what I do with crappie baits when I'm bored and don't bother switching up, lol. Lots of fun, catches everything especially big bass. 2in Lunker City Fin-S minnow on a 1/8 or 1/16oz head. Takes FOREVER to sink, lol.
  3. Who wants to fish Angus though? lol
  4. The guys catching monsters on Gbay aren't the sharing kind. They are being caught however.
  5. Pretty much. Best $$$ I've spent was on Cabelas Guidewear. Not cheap, but worth it everytime it pours and I'm nice and dry.
  6. Seems a wee bit too early for browns, but when the rivers swell the fish do what they want, lol
  7. If you get the fish back quick they're fine, or you have to fizz them.
  8. Alban is under evacuation soon as well from what I've been hearing.. Scary stuff.
  9. You're missing out on the best smallie fishing of the season if you aren't fishing them in Oct/Nov. Wolf packs of giants are a riot, but you've gotta find them.
  10. Big rain always gets a push of fish, even in summer. Kinda crazy. I'm guessing it will drop back to the lake eventually.
  11. I hear ya. It definitely does depend on how it's mounted. We ran a 55in on our 15ft Legend and it was out of the way when stored, 60in on the Lund, same thing. If he can get away with a 55 or less, save some $$$.
  12. 60in or bust. The first time you're in choppy waters trying to stay on a spot but can't because the motor is out of the water, you'll curse getting the shorter shaft.
  13. Nice buckets and that crappie is a slab!
  14. Remember you'll usually get more run time out of a 24V system compared to 12V in most situations. I'm in the go big or go home camp. you can never have enough TM.
  15. Ah that sucks. Plastic cleans up nicely with a little elbow grease. Is there an inner lens?
  16. Plastic lens? A quick cut and polish with an DA polisher would probably make them look new again. Same issue that happens with headlight lenses.
  17. They all get their maps from the same place, lol.
  18. Best thing for a newb to do is hire a guide for a half day or full day. You'll learn so much your head will explode.
  19. Yeah, if you're buying new you're kinda stuck. I never do, always used and well outside the warranty.
  20. I don't think I've ever owned a diesel that's stayed stock for more then 2 weeks, lol.
  21. Only type of fishing I do with no leads is frogging.. Everything else gets a flouro or mono leader of some kind.
  22. The Tundra has nothing on the 5.0 coyote engine... Let's be realistic here, lol.
  23. Lew, you've probably got the most bulletproof engine in this thread 5.0 is a great motor, not to shabby on the mileage either.
  24. There's a lot more then just follow the contour that's useful.
