Everything..
Topwater, flipping jigs, cranks, tube fishing, chucking monster muskie baits, etc etc..
The only thing I use my spinning rod for is really light tube jigs, vertical fishing for pickerel, and stream fishing for specs.
You're kidding right? How long did it take Apple to get something as simple as 'cut and paste' to work? Not to mention sending out updates that resulted in bricked phones...
The IPhone is nice to look at, but there are other devices that do things alot better then it does...
Softwater for sure...
How ice fishing can even hold a candle to top water smallmouth in June is beyond me.
Nothing beats waking up at 4am, hitting a dead calm lake and working a Zara spook over a nice shoal in 10-12ft as the fog burns off..
Not to mention my addiction to floatfishing... I'd do it all year if I could.
Unlimited data plan on Bell is $10 for phones such as the HTC Touch and the Samsung Instinct. If you go with a true Smart Phone like a Blackberry, they won't give you $10 unlimited data.
I have a HTC Touch with unlimited data and I do all kinds of stupid crap, that would cost $100's if I didn't have an unlimited plan.
Yup, it's not very hard. I put the boat in the water until the ass end is floating. I then unhook it and push it off the trailer. Tie it to the dock, pull out the truck/trailer and I am on my way.
That is an awesome tiller btw!
Guys, a great investment for the winter would be a Tempro ZeroStart coolant heater.
I use one on my TDI, and the glowplug light doesn't stay on for more then 2-3 seconds.
Alot better to warm the coolant, which then circulates *most* of the engine due to convection.
You can pick them up at Crappy Tire for around $50 or so.
John,
I take it apart after a day of fishing, clean out the gunk and give the bearings a drop or two of 3in1 oil...
Maybe I am over doing it, who knows
For a less expensive reel, I love my Streamside.. As long as you keep up with the maintenance, it should last you forever.
Not to many moving parts to mess up
I just stick those hand warmer packets in my wading jacket pockets. If I get cold, I put them in there for a few seconds and heat them up.
One handed drifts!!!
I would have a tough time dropping 17k on a boat without actually water testing it...
Rabbit ears or a garbage pal full of water wouldn't likely show any issues if the engine had them anyhow.
If the shaft is turning, and so is the left auger, somthing in that gear casing has blown. I've never seen the inside of one, but I'd assume it's some kind of ring/pinion.
