  1. I never use my front unit on a specific lake we both fish. I stated that in my reply If you've fished it, you'd understand.
  2. I'd suggest searching Google 'Mississippi Lake fishing ontario'
  3. There were more then a few guides out there yesterday with clients. Seriously, do people care more about $$$ then their own lives? Stupid.
  4. 24v is all you'll need. You've seen my rig, 80lb Terrova on the front will last me days before recharging on good batteries. I've got a HB 958 up front on the bow attached to the US2 in the Terrova. And really for Nip unless you're fishing lakers or pike, I don't even turn the sonar on, lol. My console unit has all the cool stuff (SI, DI, etc). The only other thing I could see that would be useful upfront would be a SI tranducer. That can easily be attached to the Minn Kota if you wanted.
  5. Under those river log jams for those big residents
  6. How did a thread about XWRP warranty scams somehow turn into a thread about rouge Imams? Stay on topic man.
  7. Don't over think it too much. I'd run braid then change up your leader when conditions call for it. No way I'd run a flouro mainline, the stuff is just awful.
  8. Uh, why wait so long to jump out and try to scare him? Probably scared the crap out of that bear and himself, lol
  9. It's neat, but It's not $2000 neat.
  10. Yup, braid for me on basically everything but the downrigger rods and my UL resident trout setup.
  11. Man that looks awful. It's going to be a few weeks yet I guess.
  12. Chris those are some beauties man!!!
  13. Yeah, that's like a beer league missed play there. Winger out to the D in a defensive zone draw loss. This is basic basic hockey, lol. Hell, I'd lose my **** if the winger in my beer league failed to do that lol
  14. That motor won't die, who are you kidding
  15. That looks like a fun rig to fish out of.
  16. I also use reel pouches on all my stuff. Nothing worse then a $500 reel with boat rash all over it. No thanks!
  17. I can get about 10-12 holes in fairly thick ice with my DeWalt 20v and the 8in Finbore before she starts giving me problems. If you want something to run and gun all day, M18 Fuel is the easy choice.
  18. I've got my Dewalt 20v on a 8in finbore and after a few holes (Depending on ice thickness) she'll start to smoke a bit. I'd definitely look into the M18 Fuel line if you wanna turn that thing all day without any issues. Early season ice however (6-8in) cuts through like butter with no problems. We're talking 12-18in where it will start to overheat.
  19. I don't like my rods or reels to get nasty with roe juice. Gotta keep those old sticks looking good!
  20. My cork is always clean. Waders and jackets, not so much.
  21. If anything bring your cleats, lol. I wouldn't worry about thickness but it's probably an ice rink as of today.
  22. Get the boat out for opener Terry, lol.
  23. I'm on the Niagara tomorrow along with a few stateside tribs. I'll let ya know how I make out.
  24. Fatty. I remember fishing all the way up to the dam as a kid. On the other side by the 3 falls and that center section sticking out in the middle, lol. Hooking a chinook and having it spoil you was a common occurrence.
  25. Yeah, Kap is going to get paid who is anyone kidding.
