Not in the fast water though... I've ripped a spinner across a steelheads back before and it went nuts! Even casting at Port Hope for chinnies a month or so ago.. You'd rack one across the back and it would take off 100yrds before you even knew what happened...

You can take the bearing to a company called 'Canadian Bearings' or any bearing company for that matter and they'll match them up for you... They should able to get you various grades also.. I did the same thing when replacing the rear swingarm suspension in my old RM250... $150 for bearings from the dealer, $47 from a bearing place, lol

If you fish tonight, make sure to check out the hydrocharts and record the flow numbers.. Make a little note book and you'll figure out that rain isn't always the enemy.

If you're hungry, go hit the Zehrs fish tank. I can't believe anyone in their right mind would rather be catching hatchery fish over wild fish. There should definitely be a slot put into place to let the spawners do what they're supposed to do. (ie not end up on someones dinner table)

People are making excuses as to why they sit down and fish? If the circumstances call for it (fishing out of a canoe) then sure... But who in their right mind would sit in a boat with a perfectly good casting deck? Hell, I stand in anything, even 12ft tinnys if I can... I can make longer casts, have better control over where/when my bait lands and have a much better view of the cover I am fishing... Also running the Minn Kota while standing isn't very hard

Why not rig up a small outrigger or something? Might look stupid but it will make the boat a whole lot more stable.. I dunno anyone who sits down when they are fishing, unless they are jigging or trolling.

2 pieces of pine, some threaded rod/nuts and you are set... My oldman used to make them when we lived in St.Catharines.. Great for spring trout fishing out on Lake O.
