  1. Yup, that rod definitely has some mojo... I think I need to upgrade to a CTS, such a sweet stick. I wonder how happy those guys were when I plucked two fish out from under their noses in about 5 mins? lol
  2. That is scary Really makes you think.
  3. $12 a day? What' are you buying? lol
  4. It might smoke more, really depends on the car. I know mine was just a haze at WOT after my install.. No need for a chip either (although a chip + nozzle combo makes the car completely different)..
  5. So do they run the torch 24x7 or only during the day? I missed it in Barrie today, I wanna catch it somewhere else... Even in the middle of nowhere is good enough for me.
  6. Randy, how goes the battle? You get the head off yet?
  7. lol, I don't think there is any need to apologize to anyone. I know guys that can't even break 1000km's on the highway But they aren't exactly stock! I'm not either, currently making 151hp/251ftlbs... If you guys that drive TDI's haven't done any upgrades, I definitely would suggest a nozzle upgrade. 15hp/40ftlbs and a 5% increase in mileage. Really wakes up the car. Nozzles can be had for $150CAD..
  8. If you haven't already get rid of the guts within the tank vent so it's venting all the time. I know guys that have squeezed in 63 litres. My best tank to date was 1428km's before the low fuel light came on. 1000km's per tank city is doable, although most average 850-950kms.
  9. Stick your hands back into the water. Your body will react to your hands being cold by rushing all kinds of blood to them, they should feel fine in a few mins...
  10. Fantastic as always, looking forward to making a few more good memories in '10 with ya man
  11. I love it, what else can I say.
  12. If it bites her again, call the human society and get it quarantined. As for the crap, pile it infront of their doorstep, they'll get the hint.
  13. I'll take a few more warmer days like we had last week. Just enough to break the ice up
  14. Giant... they are 2592x1944 Biggest they should be is 1024x768.... at least for posting on here (personal opinion) I got into a few fish yesterday, no pics but a few nice fillets for my neighbour Also some nice skein for myself!
  15. Laszlo buddy, you gotta resize those pics A simple thing I do before I upload them to Photobucket or Imageshack is use Windows itself to resize them.. Select all your pics and right click > send to Mail recipient.. Windows will then ask you if you want to keep the original sizes or to resize. If you click the little options button on the bottom left there are 3 sizes to choose from. After picking the sizes, you're default email program will open up with the resized pics as attachments. Simply select all the pics, then copy into another folder. Now you have your original pics that aren't 4MB a piece
  16. DO NOT TURN OVER THE ENGINE!!!! These are interference engines, you'll be extremely lucky not to have dropped a valve... I also assume that the belt wasn't the culprit, it was most likely the WP or the tensioner or one of the rollers that seized up and stripped the belt... Unfortunately the fact that the starter didn't turn over the engine and just clicks off means you definitely have some damage... Time to pull the head off and see the damage.. I know a guy that can get you a rebuilt head (Hopefully that's all it needs) for a decent price. Or you can swap in a used longblock... Lot's of options, just don't buy anything at the dealer PM me if you have any questions.
  17. Ding ding, we have a winner.. Tell Ford to prove the engine was intentionally damaged.. If they can't, youre buddy is fine.. No offense, but he's an idiot if he just lays down and takes this...
  18. I wonder if Lew's taken up bungie jumping after retirement?
  19. Yup, putting your life on the line deserves a fat paycheck. I think I'll add nurses and cops to that list also.
  20. Holy crap man, take my reply a little more personal next time. My buddy, who works in St.Catharines has many many nights were all he does is sleep. Please don't try and make us believe that if you aren't on a call at 3am in the morning, you are training/exercising/whatever. Are you a rook? If so, perhaps that's why you get no sleep
  21. :clapping:
  22. Gotta get better at nymphing below a strike indicator. More time with the flyrod, etc etc
  23. Dan, definitely the best present you can ask for! I hope you and yours have a great holiday.
  24. Attawapiskat in June, maybe a Quetico trip and back up north for trouts.
  25. They aren't awake for that entire 24hr shift. They live/eat/sleep at the firehouse, just like you would at home.
