  1. What a crock. Criminal charges for a hockey hit in a game that hitting is illegal. People realize he didn't McSorley the guy and two hand him across the head right? It was a LEGAL hit! Habs fans really just need to put the soother back in and stop whining.
  2. I dunno where I'll be on opener, but it definitely won't be fishing for steelhead! Bring on the residents!
  3. The one corner of the cpu has a slight notch in it, this is for alignment issues. And yeah, if your neighbour took out the CPU without releasing the latch on the ziff socket, you're pretty much outta luck.
  4. As long as the CPU sits into the ziff socket and you can close the latch, it should be fine. It wouldn't even power up without the CPU, I doubt that's the problem. Most likely ram related.. Do you get anything on the screen during startup?
  5. I saw that on cbc.ca today and thought 'Man, those would be great for spring pike', lol
  6. Are there any beeps during startup? If there are, count them and let us know. Could be a memory/bios issue.
  7. I don't think it's the pinners casting their BB rigs at boats that float to close to the pier, lol.
  8. Perhaps they might enjoy the taste of Cormorant instead?
  9. I dunno, I used to fish Port D all the time when I lived there. The powerplant, the 3 falls, all over the place. Never had a single issue back then.
  10. Don't the HDS units have a nasty habit of letting condensation in? I know it's been brought here on numerous occasions.
  11. It's Dalhousie, don't expect people to have manners, lol.
  12. That's cool, I've spent quite a few days out there in the past 3 years. I'm not the only one that's noticed this
  13. The naturals are a lot smaller on average then those fish and have a distinct gold tinge to them, gotta make sure you let those ones go
  14. He's still posting, so not yet, lol
  15. I wonder what Iafrate thinks of this hit, lol
  16. So who pays the fine when the OPP asks them where their helmets are? If I was out and a guide told me to hope aboard and sit my ass on the front of a ATV rack, I would laugh at him. A little bit of professionalism is required don't ya think?
  17. Sounds like the Ugly Stick, lots of umph, but zero feel.
  18. Billy Bobs head just exploded, lol!!!!
  19. No worries man, I'll make sure to lay a beating on them for you
  20. If dolphins weren't so cute and cuddly, no one would care. Same thing with the seal hunt.
  21. For a newb, don't worry about flouro leads, all you need is a spool of cheap Maxima 4lb Ultra Green, some #10's or #8 hooks, a few black Raven floats, some micro swivels and some shot... Steelhead aren't exactly very smart, lol. The biggest thing is to make sure you're not running to short of a lead and change things up until you figure out a pattern. I've found that 99% of the guys on the river are more then willing to help out a newb and give you a few pointers. Watch what other people are doing and if it's working for them, then it should work for you. I always look at what type of leads people are running if I'm on a new piece of water.. In the spring you can run all kinds of baits and still get bit. Worms (live and Berkley trout worms), dead minnows, roe, whatever..
  22. Doug, I hope you got the EcoBoost in that bad boy!
  23. A Sahara 1500 or 2500 and a decent rod is all that's needed. $350 on a spinning combo? For what the OP wants, that's a complete waste.
  24. You aren't trying hard enough if summer or spring is boring, lol. Bring on the steelhead, then the residents, then the warm water species, by the time that's all over we are back into steelhead and then icefishing. It never stops!
